In this paper, we present a switch based on coupling and resonance in thegraphene plate and rings operating at 10 THz. This structure consists of several layers ofHexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN), SiO2 and P+Si, such that graphene plates and rings areinside the hBN layer. The terahertz wave is incident from the upper part of the switchand Surface Plasmons (SPs) are excited ...
A new optical device for wavelength auto-router was proposed. Such a structure is useful in the integratedoptic for optical operation and data communication. We use the finite-difference beam propagation method to investigate the phenomenon of the proposed numerical model.
We propose a scalable all-optical switching architecture towards contention-free data center networking. The arrayed-waveguide-grating router (AWGR) based switching fabric utilizes wavelength parallelism to alleviate contention, to reduce latency, and to improve scalability. ©2010 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (060.4250) Networks; (200.6715) Switching
In this paper we propose a simple model that analyzes the cost saving achieved by Optical IP Switching (OIS), a novel optical architecture, compared to a conventional IP-over-WDM network, where the IP router connects directly to the WDM module. The analysis we propose shows that OIS can bring substantial cost savings in the initial investment of network operators.
The function of a router is to switch arriving packets to their correct output destination. A router is built to achieve a specified capacity (the sum of the rates of its interfaces), and users expect a router to consistently achieve this capacity. However, no commercial high-speed router can guarantee today that it will achieve its full capacity for all arrival traffic patterns. This is due to...
This paper presents a novel Grid network scenario based on an optical infrastructure using optical burst switching. The functional blocks required are identified as Core Router the Grid User Network Interface and the Grid Resource Network Interface. The details of the associated challenges in terms of functionality and technology are discussed and solutions are proposed.

In this paper, we introduce the design of an advanced high-performance interconnect architecture for supercomputers. first part consider generation Angara (Angara G1). The is based on router ASIC, which supports a 4D torus topology, deterministic and adaptive routing, has hardware support RDMA technology. interface with processor unit PCI Express. Normally off devices like Metal Oxide Semiconductor Transistors (MOSFET) are sensitive to light and can be controlled optically. These devices have high package density, low power consumption and dynamic operating range. In this paper modelling and simulation of MOSFET devices is carried out in 1GHz to 10GHz frequency band. Devices are controlled optically by varying optical power of incident r...
