(REE,Y) phosphates were synthesized in a 1 atm furnace by ß ux-growth methods involving Pb-free ß uxes. Microcrystalline (REE,Y) phosphate was precipitated from a solution of (REE,Y) chlorides or nitrates plus ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, and mixed with a M2CO3 (M = Li or Na)-MoO3 ß ux (75:25:2 molar ratio M2CO3:MoO3:REEPO4). Crystal growth was achieved over the temperature range 1350870 °C,...

The article presents the results of study kinetics ions adsorption from multi-component mixtures. isotherms sorption ammonium nitrogen in presence phosphates indicate a decrease exchange capacity zeolite due to its competition for active absorption centres. This was carried out with two inorganic nature. In third organic component solution (protein substance - albumin), decreases even more comp...
Efficient conversion of ketones into kinetic enol phosphates under mild and accessible conditions has been realised using the developed methods with di-tert-butylmagnesium and bismesitylmagnesium. Optimisation of the quench protocol resulted in high yields of enol phosphates from a range of cyclohexanones and aryl methyl ketones, with tolerance of a range of additional functional units.
The irradiation of a series of phenyl sulfonates and phosphates leads to the quantitative release of acidity with a reasonable quantum yield (≈0.2). Products characterization, ion chromatography analysis and potentiometric titration are consistent with the intervening of two different paths in this reaction, viz. cationic with phosphates and (mainly) radical with sulfonates.
The spliceosome, an assembly of snRNAs and proteins, catalyzes the removal of introns from premessenger RNAs. A new study identifies specific phosphates in the U2-U6 snRNA complex that position two catalytic metals. Remarkably, these correspond precisely to metal-binding phosphates in a homologous structure of Group II self-splicing introns, long proposed to be the ribozyme progenitor of splice...
A gcr2 null mutant of Saccharomyces cerevisiae grows well on glucose in spite of its lower level of glycolytic enzymes between triose phosphates and pyruvate. A quantitative analysis shows that these levels are adequate to the flux but glycerate phosphates are elevated.
