In this article we propose a study of the modified Tate pairing in characteristics two and three. Starting from the ηT pairing introduced by Barreto et al. [1], we detail various algorithmic improvements in the case of characteristic two. As far as characteristic three is concerned, we refer to the survey by Beuchat et al. [5]. We then show how to get back to the modified Tate pairing at almost...

The bilinear pairing such as Weil pairing or Tate pairing on elliptic and hyperelliptic curves have recently been found applications in design of cryptographic protocols. In this survey, we have tried to cover different cryptographic protocols based on bilinear pairings which possess, to the best of our knowledge, proper security proofs in the existing security models.

We evaluated the differential effects of 2 variations of a stimulus-stimulus pairing procedure on the vocalizations of 2 children with autism. For both participants, presenting 1 sound per pairing trial resulted in a higher rate of vocalizations than 3 sounds per pairing trial.

It is well known that the Blanchfield pairing of a knot can be expressed using Seifert matrices. In this paper, we compute the Blanchfield pairing of a colored link with non-zero Alexander polynomial. More precisely, we show that the Blanchfield pairing of such a link can be written in terms of generalized Seifert matrices which arise from the use of C-complexes.

We analyze the possibilities of pairing between two different fermion species in asymmetric matter at low density. While the direct interaction allows pairing only for very small asymmetries, the pairing mediated by polarization effects is always possible, with a pronounced maximum at finite asymmetry. We present analytical results up to second order in the low-density parameter k F a.

Spike timing-dependent plasticity in the hippocampus has rarely been studied in vivo. Using extracellular potential and current source density analysis in urethane-anesthetized adult rats, we studied synaptic plasticity at the basal dendritic excitatory synapse in CA1 after excitation-spike (ES) pairing; E was a weak basal dendritic excitation evoked by stratum oriens stimulation, and S was a p...

Projecting bilinear pairings have frequently been used for designing cryptosystems since they were first derived from composite order bilinear groups. There have been only a few studies on the (im)possibility of projecting bilinear pairings. Groth and Sahai showed that projecting bilinear pairings can be achieved in the prime-order group setting. They constructed both projecting asymmetric bili...
