Splenogonadal fusion is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by congenital fusion between the spleen and testicular tissue. In the literature, there are approximately 175 reported cases, and most of them are associated with cryptorchidism. In this article, we report an unusual case of splenogonadal fusion that was pre-diagnosed as a solid testicular mass in a patient who underwent orchiectomy.

Intrascrotal fibrous pseudotumors are benign entity with only a handful of cases reported so far. Although histologically grouped under benign, they often clinically mimics as intrascrotal malignancy. Imaging studies and histopathological examination are of paramount importance in establishing the true nature of this disease. We have presented a case of primary testicular carcinoid in an otherwise asymptomatic 50-year-old white man treated by right orchiectomy; a postoperative abdominal CT scan was normal. Histologically and cytologically the tumor resembled carcinoids of midgut origin. Most primary testicular carcinoid tumors are not clinically functional, and thus the diagnosis is not suspected preoperatively.

Urologic consultation revealed a hard non-tender testicular mass which required inguinal orchiectomy. Final histology revealed large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumor: we herein present the case and review current physiopathology of such rare testicula...

Sarcoidosis rarely involves the testicle. Seven cases detected clinically were described in a review in 1986,1 and additional cases have been discovered on autopsy. Sarcoidosis involving the epididymis is a little more common, being found in somewhat less than 1 percent of all men with the disease. 1 We report a case of testicular sarcoidosis diagnosed after orchiectomy in a previously healthy ...

We describe the case of a 13-year-old boy with testicular epidermoid cyst who presented with a painless testicular mass. Epidermoid cyst of the testis is a benign, non-teratomatous tumor. It is often possible to make the diagnosis preoperatively, combining typical sonographic features with normal biochemical tumor markers. Preoperative diagnosis will allow for testis-sparing surgery and prevent...

Suture granuloma is a mass forming benign lesion that develops at the site of surgery as a foreign body reaction to non-absorbable suture material. We present a case of suture granuloma that developed at the inguinal region after orchiectomy, and define the sonography, color Doppler sonography and real-time ultrasound elastography findings in correlation with the histopathological findings.
