Manuscript is plain TeX with macros. Figures start at FIGURES BEGIN HERE, with instructions on what to do to get them. In this paper, a generalization of standard spin fluctuation theory is considered by replacing the simple Hubbard interaction by the screened Hartree-Fock interaction for f electrons. This model is then used in both an LS and a JJ coupling scheme to construct the particle-parti...

The discussion of the 70-plet of negative parity baryons illustrates the large Nc QCD approach to orbitally excited baryons. In the case of the ` = 1 baryons the existing data allows to make numerous predictions to first order in the SU(3) symmetry breaking. New relations between splittings are found that follow from the spin-flavor symmetry breaking. The Λ(1405) is well described as a three-qu...

The consideration here is a higher-order μ-Camassa–Holm equation, which extension of the equation and retains some properties modified equation. By utilizing inequalities with maximum minimum solutions related to first three conservation laws, we establish that periodic peakons this are orbitally stable under small perturbations in energy space.

This paper is concerned with orbital stability of the smooth solitary wave nonzero asymptotic value for mCH equationUnder parametric conditions a > 0 and , an interesting phenomenon discovered, that is, there exist three bifurcation speedssuch following conclusions hold. When speed belongs to interval (c1, c2) orbitally stable. When (c2, c3) unstable. When unstable.

Strong decays of charmed baryons are analyzed in the framework of heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory (HHChPT) in which heavy quark symmetry and chiral symmetry are synthesized. HHChPT works excellently for describing the strong decays of s-wave charmed baryons. For L = 1 orbitally excited states, two of the unknown couplings, namely, h2 and h10, are determined from the resonant Λc ππ mode ...

During the Mid-Pleistocene Transition (MPT; 1,200-800 kya), Earth's orbitally paced ice age cycles intensified, lengthened from ∼40,000 (∼40 ky) to ∼100 ky, and became distinctly asymmetrical. Testing hypotheses that implicate changing atmospheric CO2 levels as a driver of the MPT has proven difficult with available observations. Here, we use orbitally resolved, boron isotope CO2 data to show t...

The analysis of the b¯ s system is an important issue in the Physics programs of the hadron colliders. We discuss two different topics: the structure of the orbitally excited states and prediction of the rates of a class of non leptonic Bs decays. Experiments at the hadron colliders can analyze different aspects of the heavy meson systems, both in the strong, both in the weak sector. For such s...

It is known from the previous works that peakon solutions of Novikov equation are orbitally and asymptotically stable in $H^1$. We prove, via method characteristics, these unstable under $W^{1,\infty}$-perturbations. Moreover, we show small initial $W^{1,\infty}$-perturbations peakons can lead to finite time blow-up corresponding solutions.

COMPETITIVE SYSTEMS AND ORBITAL STABILITY IN R RAFAEL ORTEGA AND LUIS ÁNGEL SÁNCHEZ (Communicated by Hal L. Smith) Abstract. Competitive autonomous systems in R3 have the remarkable property of verifying an analogue of the Poincaré-Bendixon theorem for planar equations. This fact allows us to prove the existence of orbitally stable closed orbits for those systems under easily checkable hypothes...
