the one-dimensional cutting stock problem, has so many applications in lots of industrial processes and during the past few years has attracted so many researchers’ attention all over the world. in this paper a meta-heuristic method based on aco is presented to solve this problem. in this algorithm, based on designed probabilistic laws, artificial ants do select various cuts and then select the...
an important aspect of microarray studies includes the prediction of patient survival based on their gene expression profile. to deal with the high dimensionality of this data, use of a dimension reduction procedure along with the survival prediction model is necessary. this study aimed to present a new method based on wavelet transform for survival relevant gene selection.the data included 204...
In this paper, we introduce a two−dimensional Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model for clutter modeling and anomaly detection. The one−dimensional GARCH model is widely used for modeling financial time series. Extending the one−dimensional GARCH model into two dimensions yields a novel clutter model which is capable of taking into account important characteris...
This paper describes a database of 11 dependency treebanks which were unified by means of a two-dimensional graph format. The format was evaluated with respect to storage-complexity on the one hand, and efficiency of data access on the other hand. An example of how the treebanks can be integrated within a unique interface is given by means of the DTDB interface.
In this paper we try to clarify the confusions that lie around the widely used terms “analysis model” and “design model” in software engineering. In our experience, these confusions are the root of some difficulties that practitioners encounter in system modeling, and sometimes lead to bad engineering practices. Our approach consists of placing the duality of analysis and design within a three-...
The Fast Fourier Transform was applied to spatial spectrum modeling of a one-dimensional fractal (Cantor set), a two-dimensional fractal (Sierpinski carpet), and a three-dimensional fractal (Menger sponge). A spectrum is developed for different levels. The spatial spectrum was also obtained and modeled for various filling parameters. The ParaView software package was used for 3D modeling.
Positive displacement pumps produce pressure ripple that can be reduced with the attenuation of generated flow ripple. This paper presents application a gas bladder hydraulic damper aim reducing oscillations delivery rate positive machines. work is focused on development 1D fluid dynamic model damper, which based fundamental motion equations applied for mono-dimensional flow. In order to repres...
