in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Abstract Recent experiments with high-intensity lasers have shown record production of α -particles by irradiating boron-hydrogen targets. This opened the way to completely new studies on proton-boron fusion multiple goals: i) related nuclear fusion. The reaction produces 3 and releases a large energy. It is considered an interesting alternative deuterium-tritium because it no neutrons, therefo...

The famous 1989 “cold fusion” experiment of Fleischmann and Pons is revisited the results are discussed. It shown that these results, which were attributed to nuclear fusion near or at room temperature but never validated in any other environment, can be explained by presence radon gas laboratory where experiments performed.

Cytolethal distending toxin (CDT), produced by Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, is a putative virulence factor in the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases. It is a cell cycle specific inhibitor at the G2/M transition. CDTB, one of the subunits of the CDT holotoxin, is implicated in a genotoxic role after entering the target cells, whereby chromosomal damage induces checkpoint phosphorylati...

Nuclear fusion is widely promoted as the ultimate environmentally friendly solution to world’s energy demands. However, medium/long-term nuclear weapons proliferation risks from a hypothetical economy are rarely considered. Using risk assessment tools, this paper undertakes trial scoping of hazards arising technologies, focused on implications global ‘Mature Fusion Economy’ (MFE). In medium ter...

Mitochondrial genomes are separated from the nuclear genome for most of the cell cycle by the nuclear double membrane, intervening cytoplasm, and the mitochondrial double membrane. Despite these physical barriers, we show that somatically acquired mitochondrial-nuclear genome fusion sequences are present in cancer cells. Most occur in conjunction with intranuclear genomic rearrangements, and th...
