In this paper, fuzzy-based multisensor data fusion is studied and an iterative fuzzy classifier is proposed. Obtained results are given as a set of two maps: a thematic map, and a confidence map (a classification certainty map representing the degree of certainty in the thematic map). The application of this classifier using ERS-1/JERS-1 SAR composites is shown to very promising.

A multisensor fusion approach for improving the map-building capability of a mobile robot is presented in this paper. Ultrasonic and video data are used. A modelling technique for indoor environments based on line features extraction from video data and from range data is proposed. The Hough transform is considered for extracting lines from the occupancy grid and from video images.

The present paper deals with a fault tolerant control scheme for a multisensor plant under the assumption of bounded noises. A practical example, concerning a positioning system is detailed. Robust guarantees for the global stability of the system and the separability and identification of abrupt faults occurring in the sensor outputs are provided.
