要旨: 1年以上補聴器を装用している重複障害児16例について, 臨床的背景と補聴器装用の現状について検討した。 受診理由は新生児聴覚スクリーニング (NHS) refer が最多で, NHS 例はそれ以外を理由に受診した症例より有意に初診時の月齢が低く, 重複障害児においても は難聴の早期診断と療育につながっていた。 基礎疾患は, 遺伝性疾患が10例 (63%) と最多であった。 重複障害数と難聴程度には関連性はなかった。 てんかん合併例は有意に補聴器装用効果が不良であった。 装用開始が遅れると安定装用までに時間を要した。 安定装用に時間を要した症例も, その後長く装用継続できていた。 重複障害児では, 装用に時間を要したり効果に限界があったりするが, 障害や発達に応じた個々への対応が重要であった。
