An inventory model for Weibull deteriorating items with time varying demand under permissible delay in payments and inflation is considered. Holding cost is linear function of time. Shortages are permitted and are completely backlogged. Sensitivity with respect to parameters has been carried out. Numerical example is taken to support the model.

Nowadays, scheduling problems have a considerable application in production and service systems. In this paper, we consider the scheduling of n jobs on a single machine assuming no machine idleness, non-preemptive jobs and equal process times. In many of previous researches, because of the delivery dalays and holding costs, earliness and tardiness penalties emerge in the form of linear combin...

This paper tackles the general single machine scheduling problem, where jobs have di erent release and due dates and the objective is to minimize the weighted number of late jobs. The notion of master sequence is rst introduced, i.e., a sequence that contains at least an optimal sequence of jobs on time. This master sequence is used to derive an original mixed-integer linear programming formula...

State-of-the-art supercomputers are made up of multiple types of resources. User jobs also have wide spectrum of resource requirements. Hence, a supercomputer can be thought of as a collection of heterogeneous resources with heterogeneous usage requirements from the users. Schedulers for such systems are challenged by several issues like scalability, GPU, topology and energy awareness. We view ...

This study investigates single-machine due-date assignment and scheduling problems with a job-dependent aging effect under a deteriorating maintenance activity consideration simultaneously. The maintenance activity can be scheduled immediately after any one of the jobs has been completed. In order to model the problem more realistic, we assume that: (1) once the maintenance activity has been co...

This article addresses resource allocation scheduling problems with slack due window on a single machine. Linear and convex are considered. Our goal is to determine the optimal schedule, window, allocation, minimizing various objective functions respect criteria (position-dependent weights number of early jobs, tardy starting time, size) consumption function. For linear problem, we study two ca...

Classical deterministic inventory models consider the demand rate to be either constant or time-dependent but independent from the stock status. However, for a certain type of inventory, the demand rate may be in-fluenced by the stock level. Also in many real-life problems, some products such as fruits, vegetables, phar-maceuticals and volatile liquids continuously deteriorate to evaporation, o...

This article considers the parallel machine scheduling problem with step-deteriorating jobs and sequence-dependent setup times. The objective is to minimize the total tardiness by determining the allocation and sequence of jobs on identical parallel machines. In this problem, the processing time of each job is a step function dependent upon its starting time. An individual extended time is pena...
