This is a survey paper on algorithms that have been developed during the last 25 years for the explicit computation of the structure of an associative algebra of finite dimension over either a finite field or an algebraic number field. This constructive approach was initiated in 1985 by Friedl and Rónyai and has since been developed by Cohen, de Graaf, Eberly, Giesbrecht, Ivanyos, Küronya and W...

The algebraic structure of divisible abelian semigroups has been studied in [9] and [l]. Some results on the topological and algebraic structure of compact uniquely divisible abelian semigroups have been obtained in [4] and [5]. A statement of equivalent conditions for a compact abelian semigroup to be divisible is presented in the present paper. Some of the results in [4] are extended to subun...

Recently, Hua et al. defined a new topological index based on degrees and inverse of distances between all pairs of vertices. They named this new graph invariant as reciprocal degree distance as 1 { , } ( ) ( ( ) ( ))[ ( , )] RDD(G) = u v V G d u  d v d u v , where the d(u,v) denotes the distance between vertices u and v. In this paper, we compute this topological index for Grassmann graphs.

in this paper we study the relation between module amenability of θ - lau product a×θb and that of banach algebras a, b. we also discuss module biprojectivity of a×θb. as a consequent we will see that for an inverse semigroup s, l 1 (s) ×θ l 1 (s) is module amenable if and only if s is amenable.

In this paper we investigate the Green‎ ‎graphs for the regular and inverse semigroups by considering the‎ ‎Green classes of them‎. ‎And by using the properties of these‎ ‎semigroups‎, ‎we prove that all of the five Green graphs for the‎ ‎inverse semigroups are isomorphic complete graphs‎, ‎while this‎ ‎doesn't hold for the regular semigroups‎. ‎In other words‎, ‎we prove‎ ‎that in a regular se...

By an infinitely distributive inverse semigroup will be meant an inverse semigroup S such that for every subset X ⊆ S and every s ∈ S, if ∨ X exists then so does ∨ (sX), and furthermore ∨ (sX) = s ∨ X. One important aspect is that the infinite distributivity of E(S) implies that of S; that is, if the multiplication of E(S) distributes over all the joins that exist in E(S) then S is infinitely d...

We consider the Fröbenius-Perron semigroup of linear operators associated to a semidynamical system defined in a topological space X endowed with a finite or a σ -finite regular measure. We prove that if there exists a faithful invariant measure for the semidynamical system, then the Fröbenius-Perron semigroup of linear operators is C0-continuous in the space Lμ(X). We also give a geometrical c...

We study inverse semigroup amalgams of the form S U T where S and T are free inverse semigroups and U is an arbitrary nitely generated inverse subsemigroup of S and T. We make use of recent work of Bennett to show that the word problem is decidable for any such amalgam. This is in contrast to the general situation for semigroup amalgams, where recent work of Birget, Margolis and Meakin shows th...

We construct the inverse partition semigroup IPX , isomorphic to the dual symmetric inverse monoid I∗ X , introduced in [6]. We give a convenient geometric illustration for elements of IPX . We describe all maximal subsemigroups of IPX and find a generating set for IPX when X is finite. We prove that all the automorphisms of IPX are inner. We show how to embed the symmetric inverse semigroup in...

We introduce two generalisations of the full symmetric inverse semigroup IX and its dual semigroup I ∗ X – inverse semigroups PI ∗ X and PI ∗ X . Both of them have the same carrier and contain IX . Binary operations on PI∗X and PI ∗ X are reminiscent of the multiplication in IX . We use a convenient geometric way to realise elements from these two semigroups. This enables us to study efficientl...
