Infiltrating lipoma is an uncommon mesenchymal neoplasm that characteristically infiltrates adjacent tissues and tends to recur after excision. This type of lipoma is extremely rare in the head and neck region. We report a case of a giant infiltrating lipoma of the face, studied with CT and MR imaging.

A case of spinal intraosseous schwannoma (SIS) in the lumbar vertebra is reported. Clinical and radiologic characteristics of 16 reported cases of SIS were reviewed. SIS can be a rare differential diagnosis for intraosseous tumors.
OBJECTIVES Lipomas are the second most common benign tumors of the small bowel, and most lipomas are asymptomatic. However, lipomas with diameters of >20 mm tend to be symptomatic, for example, to cause bleeding, obstructive jaundice, abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction, intussusception, and/or perforation. METHODS/RESULTS We report a case of massive gastrointestinal bleeding from a jejuna...
Background and Aim: The incidence of benign solid tumors in vulvar area is very rare. These tumors include fibromas, fibromayomas, lipoma, hemangiomas, neurofibromas and endometriomas. Lipoma is the most prevalent soft tissue mesenchymal tumor, but the incidence of this tumor in the vulva is very rare. The aim of this study was to report a rare case of vulvar lipoma in an adolescent girl. Case ...
Lipoma is the commonest soft tissue tumor arising anywhere in the body, but its occurrence in the larynx is relatively rare. We present a rarest case of lipoma with cartilaginous metaplasia arising from the larynx just above the anterior commissure. The second case report is about a large spindle cell lipoma of larynx presented with stridor.
Intraosseous vascular lesions of the maxillofacial region are rare, and the differential diagnosis of intraosseous vascular malformations from other jaw lesions can be challenging. In the present case, magnetic resonance imaging and three-dimensional computed tomographic angiography (CTA) was used for diagnosis, and the lesion was treated wih surgical excision. Diverse characteristics such as t...
Lipoma of the parotid gland is a rare entity. Trauma with soft tissue haematoma formation and subsequent lymphatic effusion, fat necrosis and lipoma formation have been postulated as an aetiological pathway. We report a case of a post-traumatic lipoma of the parotid gland to add to the available literature on this uncommon pathology.
BACKGROUND Chondroid lipoma is an extremely rare variant of benign lipomatous lesions that is composed of lipoblasts, mature fat, and chondroid matrix. Although benign lipomatous lesions are the most common soft tissue tumors and imaging findings are often pathognomonic, there have been few reports describing the imaging features of chondroid lipoma. CASE REPORT We present magnetic resonance ...
Lipoma arborescens arising in the extra-articular bursa of the knee joint is extremely rare. We describe an 11-year-old boy who complained of a gradual swelling mass of the lateral knee joint. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a high signal intensity tumor on T1- and T2-weighted images with a thickened septa and nodular lesion that showed low signal intensity. The radiologist suggested th...
