A novel route is proposed for the preparation of mesopore containing zeolite ZSM-5 via in situ hydrothermal treatment of a solution containing alkali-dissolved SBA-15 containing carbonized surfactant P123 in the mesopores; it exhibited prominent stability enhancement for methanol to propylene reaction.
Ultrafine MnO(2) nanowires with sub-10 nm diameters have been synthesized by a simple process of hydrothermal treatment with subsequent calcinations to form networks that exhibit an enhanced specific capacitance (279 F g(-1) at 1 A g(-1)), high rate capability (54.5% retention at 20 A g(-1)) and good cycling stability (1.7% loss after 1000 cycles).
In this work, sub-50 nm pegylated mesoporous silica nanoparticles prepared with hydrothermal treatment are shown to have long-term stability in various media at both room and physiological temperature. Compared to bare mesoporous silica nanoparticles, the highly pegylated mesoporous silica nanoparticles show significantly improved biocompatibility and decreased macrophage uptake, making these n...
Metal nanoparticle-decorated carbon spheres (mn-CSs) are prepared by combining one-pot hydrothermal synthesis and post-synthesis modification. The former sol-gel type process is employed to obtain heteroatom-containing polymer spheres (PSs), which easily attract metal species that, during thermal treatment, are initially converted to nanoparticle-decorated PSs and finally to mn-CSs.
Monodisperse, uniform colloidal carbonaceous spheres were fabricated by the hydrothermal treatment of glucose with the help of a tiny amount of sodium polyacrylate (PAANa). This synthetic strategy is effective at high glucose concentration and for scale-up experiments. The sphere size can be easily tuned by the reaction time, temperature and glucose concentration.
The genome sequences of Methylobacter marinus A45, Methylobacter sp. strain BBA5.1, and Methylomarinum vadi IT-4 were obtained. These aerobic methanotrophs are typical members of coastal and hydrothermal vent marine ecosystems.
Nano-particle hydroxyapatite (HA) rods, were rapidly synthesised using a three pump continuous hydrothermal process (using a water feed at up to 400 degrees C and at 24 MPa): the product was obtained as a highly crystalline and phase pure material, without the need for an ageing step or subsequent heat treatment.
Black brookite TiO2 single-crystalline nanosheets with outstanding photocatalytic activity toward CO2 reduction is prepared by a facile oxidation-based hydrothermal reaction method combined with post-annealing treatment. Large amount of Ti(3+) defects are introduced into the bulk of brookite nanoparticles, which increases the solar energy absorption and enhances the photocatalytic activity.
Polymer nanodots (PNDs) from a hybrid carbon source (glucose and glycine) which exhibit a stronger fluorescence than the PNDs from a single source (glucose or glycine) are obtained by one-pot hydrothermal treatment. It is attractive that PNDs can be used as an effective fluorescent probe for the detection of iron ions with good selectivity and sensitivity in an aqueous solution.
