Performance analysis schemes for wide-band -ary frequency-shift keying systems with a limiter-discriminator-integrator receiver are presented along with analysis and simulation results for 4-ary and 8-ary systems. The probability distribution of clicks is required for performance analysis and is determined in this letter for Rayleigh fading channels.
We demonstrate a novel Rayleigh interferometric noise mitigation scheme for applications in carrier-distributed dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) passive optical networks at 10 Gbit/s using carrier suppressed subcarrier-amplitude modulated phase shift keying modulation. The required optical signal to Rayleigh noise ratio is reduced by 12 dB, while achieving excellent tolerance to dis...
There has been a dramatic change in the field of field of telelcommunication service. M-ary Quadrature Amplitude modulation and Quadrature Phase shift Keying (QPSK) modulation schemes are considered in Wideband code Division Multiple Access(WCDMA) system. Here we are using MATLAB for simulation and evaluation of BER ( Bit Error Rate )and SNR(Siganl to Noise Ratio). There is analysis of Quadratu...
In fiber-optic transmission system, transmission capacity and distance of optical signal are always an important consideration factor to improve the performance of the fiber-optic transmission system. The driving force motivating the use of multichannel optical systems is the enormous bandwidth available in optical fiber. A higher speed signals will be a combination of many lower-speed signals,...
A cognitive radio (CR) is a transceiver which automatically detects the available unused channels in the wireless spectrum. A cognitive radio network (CRN) is formed by either allowing the secondary users (SUs) to coexist with the primary users (PUs) or enabling the SUs to use the unoccupied portion of the spectrum. In this paper, the ergodic capacity maximization problem is studied in Rayleigh...
Due to wide power spectrums of rectangular data streams, it is important for base-band signals to be heavily band limited before modulation. That can be achieved by pulse shaping of rectangular bits. Some of the most common are a half-sine pulse shaper and a Gaussian pulse shaper which are used in Minimum Shift Keying (MSK), Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) and Gaussian Frequency Shift Keyi...
This report presents a brief overview of the GMSK modulation scheme. 1 What is GMSK ? GMSK stands for Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying. This is a modulation scheme in which the phase of the carrier is instantaneously varied by the \modulating" signal (i.e. the information to transmit). GMSK diiers from MSK (Minimum Shift Keying) in that a Gaussian Filter of an appropriate bandwidth (deened by the ...
This paper is devoted to software-defined radio (SDR) implementation of frequency modulated antipodal chaos shift keying (FM-ACSK) transceiver and presents results prototype testing in real conditions. novel perspective class spread-spectrum communication systems employs chaotic synchronization for the acquisition tracking analog spreading code does not need resource-demanding cross-correlation...
This brief studies the performance of selected chaos-based systems which share their frequency bands with conventional spread-spectrum systems. Such a scenario may occur in normal practice when chaos-based systems are introduced while the conventional systems are still in operation. The particular chaos-based systems under study are the coherent chaos-shift-keying system and the noncoherent dif...
