In this paper, we propose Device Authentication Code (DAC), a novel method for authenticating IoT devices with wireless interface, by exploiting their radio frequency (RF) signatures. The proposed DAC is based on RF fingerprinting, an information-theoretic method, feature learning, and the discrimi

Detailed chemical kinetics is an integral component for predictive simulation of turbulent flames and is important for reliable prediction of flames and emissions. Major challenges of incorporation of detailed chemistry in flame simulations are induced by the large number of chemical species and the wide range of timescales involved in detailed kinetics. In this work, dynamic adaptive chemistry...

This paper proposes a continuous-time bandpass ∆ΣAD modulator architecture which performs high-accuracy AD conversion of high frequency analog signals and can be used for next-generation radio systems. We use an RF DAC inside the modulator to enable subsampling and also to make the SNDR of the continuous-time modulator insensitive to DAC sampling clock jitter. We have confirmed that this is the...

A CMOS 8-bit binary type current steering Digital to Analog Converter DAC with dynamic random return to zero technique to improve dynamic performance is presented in this paper. Current steering DAC has advantage of constant output impedance and high conversion rate. To demonstrate the proposed technique, 8 bit CMOS DAC is designed and layout is prepared in 90 nm technology. Computation of Inte...

While Mandatory Access Controls (MAC) are appropriate for multilevel secure military applications, Discretionary Access Controls (DAC) are often perceived as meeting the security processing needs of industry and civilian government. This paper argues that reliance on DAC as the principal method of access control is unfounded and inappropriate for many commercial and civilian government organiza...

In this paper, we present a systematic technique to design bandpass LC Σ∆ modulators with sinusoidal feedback DACs. The output resistance of the DAC degrades the quality factor of the LC resonator and the DAC output capacitance modifies its resonance frequency. It is shown that the DAC output resistance should be taken into account while designing the Q enhancement circuit of the integrated LC ...

A Decentralised Adaptive Clustering (DAC) algorithm for self-monitoring impact sensing networks is presented within the context of CSIRO-NASA Ageless Aerospace Vehicle project. DAC algorithm is contrasted with a Fixed-order Centralised Adaptive Clustering (FCAC) algorithm, developed to evaluate the comparative performance. A number of simulation experiments is described, with a focus on the sca...

We overcome mismatch constraints of capacitor DAC design in SAR ADCs using a completely reconfigurable DAC with content addressable memory beneath groupings of unit capacitors. We demonstrate a linearity optimization technique in simulation and measurement. We achieve a nearly 2-bit repeatable ENOB improvement with a peak of 11.3 bits.

This paper introduces the concept of frequency-translating, bandpass delta-sigma modulator in continuous-time. The system level design and simulation results of the deltasigma modulator are presented. The DAC jitter performance of the continuous-time, frequency translating bandpass delta-sigma modulator is presented. The DAC jitter performance of the frequency translating modulator and conventi...

A number of oversampling filters in association with a heavily oversampled and noise-shaped digital-to-analog converter (DAC) are presented for high-resolution applications in professional and consumer digital audio environments. Computer simulations of oversampling filter, noise shaper, and DAC errors are described, together with results to demonstrate interactive performance dependence on fil...
