In this chapter, we provide an overview of existing algorithms for blind source separation of convolutive audio mixtures. We provide a taxonomy, wherein many of the existing algorithms can be organized, and we present published results from those algorithms that have been applied to real-world audio separation tasks.

In this paper, the authors address the permutation ambiguity that exists in frequency domain Independent Component Analysis of convolutive mixtures. Many methods have been proposed to solve this ambiguity. Recently, a couple of beamforming approaches have been proposed to address this ambiguity. The authors explore the use of subspace methods for permutation alignment, in the case of equal numb...

Uranium is toxic and radioactive traces of it can be found in natural water and soils. High concentrations of it in biological systems cause genetic disorders and diseases. For the in vivo diagnosis, micro and nano range detection limits are required. Here, an electrochemical assay for trace toxic uranium was searched using stripping voltammetry. Renewable and simplified graphite pencils electr...

A voltammetric biosensor based on tyrosinase (TYR) was developed for determination of tyramine. Carbon material (multi-walled carbon nanotubes or mesoporous carbon CMK-3-type), polycationic polymer-i.e., poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA), and Nafion were incorporated into titania dioxide sol (TiO2) to create an immobilization matrix. The features of the formed matrix were studied by...

In wireless communication systems, signal transmission through a channel can not avoid the influence of noise. When it reaches receiver, is accompanied by time delay and attenuation. Therefore, observed mixture signals at receiver are convolutional mixed with noise contamination. To solve problem traditional frequency-domain based convolutive blind separation methods have poor performance for n...
