We discuss the notion that quantum fields may induce an effective time dependent cosmological constant which decays from a large initial value. It is shown that such cosmological models are viable in a non de Sitter spacetime.
The axial-vector coupling constant in nuclear medium is systematically studied using chiral perturbation theory. For normal nuclear matter, the first non-trivial corrections are estimated based on the independent particle approximation taking into account nuclear correlations in nuclear medium. The one-pion-exchange (OPE) two-body interactions turn out to enhance the coupling constant by δgA/gA...
The randomness in the structure of two-component dense composite materials influences the scalar effective dielectric constant, in the quasistatic limit. A numerical analysis of this property is developed in this paper. The computer-simulation models used are based on both the finite element method and the boundary integral equation method for twoand three-dimensional structures, respectively. ...
We show that a family of isolated complete intersection singularities (ICIS) with constant total Milnor number has no coalescence singularities. This extends well-known result Gabriélov, Lazzeri and Lê for hypersurfaces. use A’Campo’s theorem to see the Lefschetz generic monodromy ICIS is zero when singular. give pair applications families functions on which extend also some known results smoot...
In contrast to the phenomenon of nullification of the cosmological constant in the equilibrium vacuum, which is the general property of any quantum vacuum, there are many options in modifying the Einstein equation to allow the cosmological constant to evolve in a non-equilibrium vacuum. An attempt is made to extend the Einstein equation in the direction suggested by the condensed-matter analogy...

We present computer simulation data for the effective permittivity ~in the quasistatic limit! of a system composed of discrete inhomogeneities of permittivity e1 , embedded in a three-dimensional homogeneous matrix of permittivity e2 . The primary purpose of this paper is to study the related issue of the effect of the geometric shape of the components on the dielectric properties of the medium...
