The objective of this research was to determine the effects of feeding zilpaterol hydrochloride (ZH) for 0, 20, 30, or 40 d before slaughter (ZH0, ZH20, ZH30, or ZH40, respectively) on semimembranosus (SM) color development and stability. A 7.62-cm-thick portion was removed from 60 beef steer SM subprimals and stored (2 degrees C) for 21 d; then two 2.54-cm-thick steaks were cut, overwrapped wi...

Coffee-Ring Structures In article number 2205696, Jianfeng Yan and co-workers propose a strategy of laser induced transient solid-liquid transition to fabricate coffee-ring structures. Through modulating the state metal from solid liquid phase using ultrafast pulse train, controllable fabrication structures is achieved. The structure exhibit tunable color, which can be used for color printing.

A fundamental challenge for the visual system is to integrate visual features into a coherent scene, known as the binding problem. The neural mechanisms of feature binding are hard to identify because of difficulties in separating active feature binding from feature co-occurrence. In previous studies on feature binding, visual features were superimposed and presented simultaneously. Neurons thr...

Color features are the key-elements widely used in content-analysis and retrieval. However, most of them show severe limitations and drawbacks due to their inefficiency of modeling the human visual system with respect to color perception. Moreover, they cannot characterize all the properties of the color composition in a visual scenery. In this paper we present a perceptual color feature, which...

Problem, strategy, and findings Broader power imbalances across race, class, age hamper anti-racism in planning. Here, we show how the youth of color–led Invest Youth Coalition Long Beach (CA; IIY-LB) pushed city to implement co-production co-governance budget planning, strategic program development. We drew from participant observation, semistructured interviews, secondary sources highlight or...

in this paper, we present some inequalities for the co-pi index involving the some topological indices, the number of vertices and edges, and the maximum degree. after that, we give a result for trees. in addition, we give some inequalities for the largest eigenvalue of the co-pi matrix of g.

in this paper, we introduce the notion of primal strong co-ideals and give some results involving them. it is shown thatsubtractive strong co-ideals are intersection of all primal strong co-ideals that contain them. also we prove that the representation of strong co-ideals as reduced intersections of primal strong co-ideals is unique.

Tasks for which people must act together to achieve a goal are a feature of daily life. The present study explored social influences on joint action using a Simon procedure for which participants (n = 44) were confronted with a series of images of hands and asked to respond via button press whenever the index finger wore a ring of a certain color (red or green) regardless of pointing direction ...

Ejection of molecules from ice-covered dust exposed to ultraviolet photons, known as photodesorption, is summoned account for gas abundances in cold regions. Carbon monoxide (CO) the second most abundant ice component interstellar clouds. Photon energy transfer between CO can eventually excite on surface, allowing desorption. photodesorption drops linearly by a factor 4 increasing deposition te...

Numerical information can be perceived at multiple levels of abstraction (e.g., one bird, or a flock of birds). The unit of input for numerosity perception can therefore involve a discrete object, or a set of objects grouped by shared features (e.g., color). Here we examine how the mere co-occurrence of objects shapes numerosity perception. Across three between-subjects experiments, observers v...
