We demonstrate recording and reconstruction of multiple-computer-generated wavelength-multiplexed volume holograms in a holographic storage medium. The holograms display high selectivity, and their reconstruction process results in a convenient conversion of wavelength into angular multiplexing.

We study the dynamics of crystallization in phase-change materials using a master-equation approach in which the state of the crystallizing material is described by a cluster size distribution function. A model is developed using the thermodynamics of the processes involved and representing the clusters of size two and greater as a continuum but clusters of size one (monomers) as a separate equ...

Systems of globally coupled phase oscillators can have robust attractors that are heteroclinic networks. We investigate such a heteroclinic network between partially synchronized states where the phases cluster into three groups. For the coupling considered there exist 30 different three-cluster states in the case of five oscillators. We study the structure of the heteroclinic network and demon...

Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA), formerly named Churg Strauss Syndrome, is a multisystem disorder characterized by chronic rhinosinusitis, asthma, and prominent peripheral blood eosinophilia; it is classified as a vasculitis of the small and medium sized arteries, although the vasculitis is often not clinically apparent in the initial phases of the disease. We present the c...

There is an error in the third sentence of the second paragraph of the Discussion section. At the end of this sentence there should be a link to Reference 17 instead of reading (REF). The correct sentence is: Additional sequencing would be required to confirm whether other lineages or genotypes have been circulating in the Caribbean as has been the case in Brazil [17]. access article distribute...

We give evidence of coexisting transverse patterns of different symmetry in an optical beam circulating in a loop which contains a nonlinear medium. The symmetry of the patterns is controlled by the azimuthal rotation introduced in the feedback loop (nonlocality), while the competition is ruled by the input intensity which determines the distance from threshold (nonlinearity). Domains correspon...

I N T R O D U C T I O N Pharmacological data were among the evidence which led to the view that the over-all electrophysiological manifestations of different excitable membranes are composites of a number of independently assorting electrogenic processes (Grundfest, 1961 a, b). Subsequently available data (cf. Grundfest, 1963, 1966 a, b) have reenforced this view, that the excitable membrane is a

A Primer on Mathematical Models in Biology Lee A. Segel and Leah Edelstein-Keshet This textbook grew out of a course that the popular and highly respected applied mathematician Lee Segel taught. It introduces differential equations, biological applications, and simulations and emphasizes molecular events, excitable systems, and small protein and genetic circuits. It is intended for upper-level ...

This paper proposes the Intra Trustcenter Protocol (ITP), a flexible and secure management protocol for communication between arbitrary trustcenter components. Unlike other existing protocols (like PKCS#7, CMP or XKMS) ITP focuses on the communication within a trustcenter. It is powerful enough for transferring complex messages which are machine and human readable and easy to understand. In add...

High morbidity and mortality of influenza virus infection makes it an important disease world-wide. Mouse is a very well-studied animal model for this disease with similar manifestation to human disease. It would be desirable to induce mucosal as well as circulating immune responses to obtain protection from infection and to decrease the spread of the virus. Cell mediated immunity (proliferativ...
