In this work, we study direct limits of finite dimensional basic classical simple Lie superalgebras and obtain the conjugacy classes of Cartan subalgebras under the group of automorphisms.

We study the problem of the existence of unconditional basic sequences in Banach spaces of high density. We show, in particular, the relative consistency with GCH of the statement that every Banach space of density אω contains an unconditional basic sequence.

One important aspect of studies carried out at the Center for Molecular Biology "Severo Ochoa" is focused on basic aspects of Alzheimer's disease, mainly the search for suitable therapeutic targets for this disorder. Several groups at the Center are involved in these studies, and, in this spotlight, the work they are carrying out will be described.
