The astrophysical S-factor for the reaction Be(p,γ)B up to an energy of 2 MeV (c.m.) and the capture cross section of Li(n,γ)Li up to 1 MeV (c.m.) are calculated using the Direct Capture model (DC). Both calculations are in good agreement with experimental data.

In multiscale and topcolor–assisted models of walking technicolor, light, spin–one technihadrons can exist with masses of a few hundred GeV; they are expected to decay as ρ T → W π T. Theoretical results for the cross section of heavy quark production near the threshold at NNLO of NRQCD are briefly overviewed.

We present the results of a search for associated production of the lightest chargino and next-to-lightest neutralino using 1 fb of √ s = 1.96 TeV pp̄ data collected with the CDF detector at the Tevatron. We combine the results of several multi-lepton final states to set upper limits on the cross section times branching ratio for chargino-neutralino production as a function of the chargino mass.

Uncertainties in the NLO calculation of the inclusive jet cross section due to the choice of renormalization scale and parton distribution functions are explored. These are found to be similar to the size of the experimental uncertainties of the measured cross section.
