The googly amplitudes in gauge theory are computed by using the off shell MHV vertices with the newly proposed rules of Cachazo, Svrcek and Witten. The result is in agreement with the previously well-known results. In particular we also obtain a simple result for the all negative but one positive helicity amplitude when one of the external line is off shell.

BACKGROUND Previous reviews have focussed on the rationale for employing the stepped wedge design (SWD), the areas of research to which the design has been applied and the general characteristics of the design. However these did not focus on the statistical methods nor addressed the appropriateness of sample size methods used. This was a review of the literature of the statistical methodology us...

BACKGROUND Sample size planning for longitudinal data is crucial when designing mediation studies because sufficient statistical power is not only required in grant applications and peer-reviewed publications, but is essential to reliable research results. However, sample size determination is not straightforward for mediation analysis of longitudinal design. METHODS To facilitate planning th...

In this contribution, we introduce higher spin Dirac operators, i.e. a specific class of differential operators in Clifford analysis of several vector variables, motivated by equations from theoretical physics. In particular, the higher spin Dirac operator in three vector variables will be explicitly constructed, starting from a description of the so-called twisted Rarita-Schwinger operator.

With the increase in circuit performance (higher speeds) and density (smaller feature size) in deep submicrometer (DSM) designs, interconnect parasitic effects are increasingly becoming more important. This paper first surveys the state of the art in parasitic extraction for resistance, capacitance, and inductance. The paper then covers other related issues such as interconnect modeling, model ...

We introduce a new approach to absolute continuity of laws of Poisson functionals. It is based on the energy image density property for Dirichlet forms. The associated gradient is a local operator and gives rise to a nice formula called the lent particle method which consists in adding a particle and taking it back after some calculation. A new implementation of boundary condition based on the half-covolume and bounce-back rule for the non-equilibrium distribution function for the finite volume LBM is proposed here. The numerical simulation results for the expansion channel flow and driven cavity problem indicate that this method is workable for arbitrary meshes. In addition, the fourth order Runge–Kutta scheme is found to be a ...

WP-STXQRD-01 This white paper describes the implementation of the QR decomposition-based recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm on Altera StratixTM FPGAs. Coordinate Rotation by Digital Computer (CORDIC) operators can be efficiently time-shared to perform the QR decomposition while consuming minimal resources. Back substitution can then be performed on the embedded soft Nios processor by utili...

We consider vacuum polarization effect of a conformally coupled massless scalar field in the background produced by an idealized straight cosmic string. Using previous criterion we show the calculation of back reaction of the field to the metric in the context of semiclassical gravity theory is not valid in some regions due to large quantum fluctuations in the conical space. 03.70.+k, 05.40.+j,...
