Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is a hereditary disease. Recurrent peritonitis is one of the chief manifestations of FMF. Peritonitis attacks are often indistinguishable from those of abdominal surgery and may lead to one or more surgical procedures before diagnosis of FMF. Meningitis in patients with FMF is rare.   The present report refers a 28-year-old man with recurrent attacks of p...

Ethereum’s smart contracts present an attractive incentive toward participating in the network. Deploying a smart contract allows a user to run a distributed application (Dapp) that includes storage, payment features, and cryptographic services all within the context of just a contract script and its layout. However, recently exploited vulnerabilities in the Solidity smart contract language hav...

background: the rationale was to develop an ablation approach to destroy regions of tumor resistant to radiation and thus reduce the time required for whole tumor ablation, while improving overall tumor control after radiotherapy. materials and methods: the system is composed of a micro positron emission tomography (mpet), 7t magnetic resonance imaging (mri), and a customized mri-compatible foc...

background and aims. the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of propolis were studied. since saliva contains antioxidants and radiotherapy of the head and neck mainly affects the saliva, salivary antioxidant defensive mechanism is compromised with oxidative stress produced by radiation therapy. therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of propolis on salivar...

background: an effective method for management of large and bulky malignant tumors. this treatment modality is also known as specially fractionated radiation therapy (sfrt). in this treatment technique a grid block converted the open radiation field into a series of pencil beams. dosimetric characteristics of an external beam grid radiation field have been investigated using experimental and mo...

We demonstrate how 1-of-n encoded speed-independent circuits provide a good framework for constructing smart card functions that are resistant to side channel attacks and fault injection. A novel alarm propagation technique is also introduced. These techniques have been used to produce a prototype smart card chip: a 16-bit secure processor with Montgomery modular exponentiator and smart card UART.

Smart cards are small, portable, tamper-resistant computers used in securitysensitive applications ranging from identi_cation and access control to payment systems. Side-channel attacks, which use clues from timing, power consumption, or even electromagnetic (EM) signals, can compromise the security of these devices and have been an active research area since 1996. Newer contactless” cards comm...

Cyber Physical System (CPS) is a system where cyber and physical components work in a complex co-ordination to provide better performance. By exploiting the communication infrastructure among the sensors, actuators, and control systems, attackers may compromise the security of a CPS. In this dissertation, security measures for different types of attacks/ faults in two CPSs, water supply system ...

1 Introduction Security is a key component for information technologies and communication. It undoubtedly represents one of the main tools of its rise because it introduces confidence which is necessary for users. Among the security threats, vulnerability of electronic material that implements cryptography (such as smart card), for services of confidentiality, authentication and data integrity,...
