The work breakdown structure (WBS) is a vehicle for breaking an engineering project down into subproject, tasks, subtasks, work packages, and so on. It is an important planning tool which links objectives with resources and activities in a logical framework. It becomes an important status monitor during the actual implementation as the completions of subtasks are measured against the project pl...

We show that it is possible to obtain spontaneous CP violation in the minimal SU(2)L × SU(2)R ×U(1)B−L, i.e. in a left right symmetric model containing a bidoublet and two triplets in the scalar sector. For this to be a natural scenario, the non-diagonal quartic couplings between the two scalar triplets and the bidoublet play a fundamental role. We analyze the corresponding Higgs spectrum, the ...

Minimizing Aggregate Movements for Interval Coverage

The main purpose of this paper is to assess the impact of the geometry and size of the aggregate, as well as the drying temperature on the compressive strength of the ordinary concrete. To this end, two aggregates with sharp and round corners were prepared in three different aggregate sizes. After preparing concrete samples, the drying operations were carried out in the vicinity of room tempera...

Two classes of aggregation functions: L-statistics and S-statistics and their generalizations called quasi-L-statistics and quasi-S-statistics are considered. Some interesting characterizations of these families of operators are given. The aforementioned functions are useful for various applications. In particular, they are very helpful for modeling the socalled Producer Assessment Problem.

Gender imbalances in work environments have been a longstanding concern. Identifying the existence of such imbalances is key to designing policies to help overcome them. In this work, we study gender trends in employment across various dimensions in the United States. This is done by analyzing anonymous, aggregate statistics that were extracted from LinkedIn’s advertising platform. The data con...

Two linguistic-based voting systems have been introduced in recent years, namely: Majority Judgement (Balinski and Laraki, 2007) and Range Voting (Smith, 2000). The keys for them are aggregation procedures based on the median and the arithmetic mean of the grades assessed to the alternatives, respectively. In this paper a comprehensive framework based on centered OWA operators (Yager, 2007) and...

introduction: soil structural stability affects the profitability and sustainability of agricultural systems. particle size distribution (psd) and aggregate stability are the important characteristics of soil. aggregate stability has a significant impact on the development of the root system, water and carbon cycle and soil resistance against soil erosion. soil aggregate stability, defined as t...
