According to UV-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction spectrometry, dynamic light scattering, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, nano-sized manganese oxides are proposed as active catalysts for water oxidation in the reaction of some manganes...

Silica tungstic acid (STA) has been found to be an efficient and reusable solid acid catalyst for the synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromenes via the three-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile, and β-naphthol. STA as a novel solid acid was characterized by X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

Radar imaging and x-ray computed tomography (CT) are both based on inverting the Radon transform. Yet radar imaging can make images from as little as two degrees of aperture while x-ray CT typically requires an aperture of at least 120◦. Our discussion addresses this phenomenon. (Some figures in this article are in colour only in the electronic version)

In this work we synthesized of mesoporous silica nanoparticles and functionalized with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane to improve the loading and release of ibuprofen bonded to 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. sample were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscopy , X-ray diffraction, and ultraviolet-visible. the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy resu...

background: radioactive yttrium glass microspheres are used for liver cancer treatment. these yttrium aluminum silicate microspheres are synthesized from yttrium, aluminum and silicone oxides by melting. there are two known processes used to transform irregular shaped glass particles into microspheres, these ‘spheroidization by flame’ and ‘spheroidization by gravitational fall in a tubular furn...

soil samples were collected from seven sites in and around the metropolitan area of mexicocity. the locations were chosen as possible sources of fugitive dusts which contribute to suspended particulate matter in the atmosphere of mexico city. x-ray fluorescence (xrf) was used to determine the concentrations of several major elements (si, k, ca, ti, mn, and fe), as well as of other trace element...

In this research, Ce0.8Zr0.2-xMnxO2 nano particles (x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10) were synthesized at 600 calcination temperature by co-precipitation method. The starting materials were cerium and zirconium nitrates, manganese chloride and ammonia as a precipitating agent. The crystalline structure of the synthesized samples was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. TEM images of the prepared Ce...

background: panoramic imaging is one of the most common imaging methods in dentistry. regarding the side-effects of ionizing radiation, it is necessary to survey different aspects and details of panoramic imaging. in this study, we compared the absorbed x-ray dose around two panoramic x-ray units: pm 2002 cc proline (planmeca, helsinki, finland) and cranex tome (soredex, helsinki, finland). mat...

: In this study we fabricated Zinc Oxide thin film by sol-gel dip coating method on glass substrate. X-ray reflectivity (XRR) and its optimization have been used for characterization and extracting physical parameters of the film. Genetic Algorithm (GA) has been applied for this optimization process. Independent information was exploited from Fourier transform of Fresnel reflectivity normalized...

X-ray absorption by matter has long been described by the famous Beer-Lambert law. Here, we show how this fundamental law needs to be modified for high-intensity coherent x-ray pulses, now available at x-ray free electron lasers, due to the onset of stimulated elastic forward scattering. We present an analytical expression for the modified polarization-dependent Beer-Lambert law for the case of...
