We consider the synthesis of a reactive asynchronous module which communicates with its environment via the shared input variable z and the shared output variable y, assuming that the module is specified by the linear temporal formula p(x, y). We derive from ~(x, y) another linear formula X(r, w, z, y), with the additional scheduling variables r, w, and show that there exists a program satisfyi...

Let the finite group G act linearly on the vector space V over the field k of arbitrary characteristic, and let H < G be a subgroup. The extension of invariant rings k[V ] ⊂ k[V ] is studied using modules of covariants. An example of our results is the following. Let W be the subgroup of G generated by the reflections in G. A classical theorem due to Serre says that if k[V ] is a free k[V ]-mod...

The geometric shape of flat storage systems for grain influences economic feasibility. Total cost per unit volume first decreases and then increases as vertical wall height increases. For a given wall height and length, cost per unit volume decreases as facility width approaches length. INTRODUCTION The term "flat storage" generally refers to rectangular-shaped structures with relatively low he...

We derive constraints on cosmological parameters and the properties of the lensing galaxies from gravitational lens statistics based on the final Cosmic Lens All Sky Survey data. For a flat universe with a classical cosmological constant, we find that the present matter fraction of the critical density is Omega(m)=0.31(+0.27)(-0.14) (68%)+0.12-0.10 (syst). For a flat universe with a constant eq...

In this paper we study cosmological application of holographic dark energy density in the Brans-Dicke framwork. We employ the holographic model of dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the holographic energy density in non-flat (closed) universe enclosed by the event horizon measured from the sphere of horizon named L. Our calculation show, taking Ω Λ = 0.73 for the present time, the ...

In this document we illustrate the module preservation statistics on simulated data. We describe the simulation method and seven simulation studies in more detail than in the main text. The design and main results of the simulations are summarized in Figure 8 of the main article which we reproduce here for convenience in Figure 1. A complete table of results can be found in the accompanying Sup...

In this study, the effect of ultrasound irradiation on the flux recovery and fouling mitigation for the membranes made of the polysulfone by the phase inversion method were investigated. Two ultrasound irradiation regimes, including inside and outside the module, were chosen for this study. The experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of ultrasound irradiation on the membrane struct...

Power module design is needed for high system performance and reliability, especially in terms of high efficiency and high power density. Low parasitic impedance and thermal management is desired for the lower power loss and device stress. For power module with high efficiency and improved breakdown voltage, this thesis proposes a novel series-connected power MOSFETs module. Three IRF7832 MOSFE...

Let S be a ruled surface inside a smooth threefold W and let E be a vector bundle on a formal neighborhood of S. We find minimal conditions under which the local moduli space of E is finite dimensional and smooth. Moreover, we show that E is a flat limit of a flat family of vector bundles whose general element we describe explicitly.

Carbon molecular sieve membranes (CMSMs) have been considered as very promising candidates for gas separation, in terms of separation properties as well as thermal and chemical stability. Due to the numerous advantages and wide applications of carbon membranes, their application for gas separation is of special importance. Because of the importance of carbon membranes and a large number of stud...
