A fuzzy logic controller with interval-valued inference mechanism is presented for the control of distributed parameter system (DPS). Interval-valued fuzzy set, a special case of type-2 fuzzy set, is innovatively designed to cope with the spatial information of distributed parameter systems. The proposed fuzzy logic controller is composed of six modules: fuzzifier, fuzzy composition, rules, inf...
Simulating organizational processes characterized by interacting human activities, resources, business rules and constraints, is a challenging task, because of the inherent uncertainty, inaccuracy, variability and dynamicity. With regard to this problem, currently available business process simulation (BPS) methods and tools are unable to efficiently capture the process behavior along its lifec...
Nowadays computer systems have become ubiquitous. Most of the resources in the development of such systems, and especially in the fail-safe ones, are allocated into the simulation and verification of their behavior. One such automated method of verification is model checking. Given a mathematical description of the real system and a specification usually in the form of temporal logics, a model ...
A formal logical system dealing with both uncertainty (possibility) and vagueness (fuzziness) is investigated. It is many-valued and modal. The system is related to a many-valued tense logic. A completeness theorem is exhibited. K E Y W O R D S : fuzzy logic, modal logic, possibilistic logic, comparative approach
In this paper a definition of n-valued system in the context of the algebraizable logics is proposed. We define and study the variety V3, showing that it is definitionally equivalent to the equivalent quasivariety semantics for the “Three-valued BCK-logic”. As a consequence we find an axiomatic definition of the above system. Mathematics Subject Classification: 03B50, 03G25, 06F35.
In this paper 1, we shall describe about a refined theory based on the concept of set-valued operators, suitable for available operation of extremely complicated large-scale network systems. Fundamental conditions for availability of system behaviors of such network systems are clarified in a form of fixed point theorem for system of set-valued operators.
In this survey, we describe the following different aspects of modeling multidimensional point sets (shapes) using real-valued functions of several variables: algebraic system as a formal framework; representation of shapes, operations, and relations using real-valued functions, internal representation of the modeling system; specialized language for function-based modeling, and model extension...
Despite providing robustness, high-gain observers impose a peaking phenomenon, which may cause instability, on the system states. In this paper, an adaptive saturation is proposed to attenuate the undesirable mentioned phenomenon in high-gain observers. A real-valued and differentiable sigmoid function is considered as the saturating element whose parameters (height and slope) are adaptively tu...
This paper presents an interval valued goal programming approach for solving multiobjective fractional programming problems. In the model formulation of the problem, the interval-valued system constraints are converted in to equivalent crisp system. The interval valued fractional objective goals are transformed into linear goals by employing the iterative parametric method which is an extension...
In this paper, the chaotic behavior of a set-valued mapping F : X → 2 , where X is a compact space, is investigated. The existence of the generalized shadowing property in the hyperspace 2 is proved. Based on the generalized shadowing property of the set-valued mappings F and the assumption of the existence of an unstable chain recurrent point of the mapping F , it is shown that the Bernoulli s...
