A 4 yrs old female child was admitted with left hemiparesis and unconsciousness and a short history of neurological impairment, changing neurological signs with progress of the disease and most of relevant laboratory investigations being normal, child underwent MRI and MRA which revealed features of Moya moya disease.

Newell & Shanks (N&S) argue that when awareness measures are more reliable and valid, greater evidence of awareness of supposedly unconscious influences is revealed. A related issue is that unconsciousness is typically the null hypothesis that evidence of awareness will not emerge. As it is difficult to conclude the null, it is also difficult to conclude a lack of conscious awareness.

A case of Insulinoma is presented here because of the uncommon and peculiar clinical manifestation in the form of fits of unconsciousness with bizzare movements of limbs, which were considered to be due to Conversion Reaction and treated as such for a period of two years without any success. She recovered and was relieved of symptoms after surgery.
