Pollution prevention for the textile industry is reviewed, including a brief summary of present practices and an analysis of future needs and opportunities. Barriers and facilitating factors are identified. Introduction Thb US textile industry has a major impact not only on the nation’s economy but also the economic and environmental quality of life in many communities. In several states, texti...
It is assumed that microbial communities involved in the biological treatment of different wastewaters having a different chemical composition harbor different microbial populations which are specifically adapted to the environmental stresses encountered in these systems. Yet, little is known about the composition of these microbial communities. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess th...
Background: Textile industries play a significant role in the economic growth of the country. Health concern of these textile mill workers is the biggest challenge. Respiratory alterations were found in these workers with long-term exposure to cotton dust. Effect of cotton dust on peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) is not very well documented in the past. Aim/Objective: The main objective of this...
background and objectives: discharge of wastewater from textile dyeing industries has been a problem in terms of pollution and treatment of these waters is a great task. keeping this in mind, the aim of our current research is to study the effect of various bioprocess variables on decolorization of an azo dye, congo red, by a fungal isolate, aspergillus niger hm11. materials and methods: centra...
This paper makes a case for a communication architecture for electronic textiles (e-textiles). The properties and requirements of e-textile garments are described and analyzed. Based on these properties, the authors make a case for employing wired, digital communication as the primary ongarment communication network. The implications of this design choice for the hardware architecture for e-tex...

Communication technology is increasingly pervading everyday life. The rapid progress in wireless communication besides the increasing interest in wearable antennas and electronics in civil, medical, sport wear and military domains promises to replace wiredcommunication networks in the near future in which antennas are in more important role. Recently, there has been growing interest in the ante...
This paper reports the design, fabrication and characterization of a flexible supercapacitor on top polyester-cotton textile. The textile-based, supercapacitors were implemented with inexpensive screen-printed carbon black electrodes, an integrated polymer separator nonhazardous organic electrolyte. encapsulated devices demonstrated area capacitance 0.54 mF·cm−2.
Keeping the fact in mind that different morphologies have strong influence on piezoelectric properties, ZnO NNs were synthesized on textile for harvesting piezoelectricity. Piezoelectric potential was captured from ZnO NNs grown on textile by using AFM in contact mode. Structural study was carried out by using FESEM, HRTEM and XRD techniques. The recorded output potential and current was more t...
This paper discusses the investigation of a wearable textile monopole antenna on specific absorption rate (SAR) for bodycentric wireless communication applications at 2.45 GHz. The antenna is characterized on a realistic 8 x 8 x 8 mm resolution truncated Hugo body model in CST Microwave Studio software. The result exhibited that the simulated SAR values were reduced significantly by 83.5% as th...
