In the title compound, [Na(4)(C(15)H(9)N(4)O(4))(4)(CH(3)OH)(4)], the N(3)O(3) environment around the Na(+) ion is distorted octa-hedral. In the unit cell, four Na(+) ions are bridged by four Schiff base anions, leading to a tetra-nuclear complex with -4 symmetry. O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between the methanol mol-ecule and the Schiff base anion stabilize the structural set-up.
N-[(1E)-(3-Bromophenyl)methylene]-N-(2-piperidin-1-ylethyl)amine Schiff base was prepared in good yield and characterized by the reflux of equivalent amounts of 2-(piperidin-1-yl)ethanamine with 3-bromobenzaldehyde. The structure of the desired Schiff base was analyzed based on: elemental analysis, EI-MS, TG/DTG, UV-visible, FT-IR, 1H and 13C-NMR spectral analysis. The condensation reaction was...
The asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Cu(C(11)H(16)N(3)O)]ClO(4), consists of two Cu(II) ions coordinated by Schiff base ligands and two perchlorate anions. The Schiff base mol-ecules are linked to the Cu(II) atoms via three N atoms and one O atom, resulting in a square-planar geometry. Inter-molecular hydrogen bonds involving the NH groups as donors and O atoms of the perchlorate anions a...
In the title compound, C(14)H(9)I(2)N(3)O(4)·CH(3)OH, the Schiff base mol-ecule adopts an E geometry with respect to the C=N bond and the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 45.0 (2)°; an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond is present. In the crystal, adjacent Schiff base mol-ecules are linked by methanol solvent mol-ecules through inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming...
Copper catalyzed [3+2] cycloaddition "click method" provided an efficient and high yielding immobilization of cobalt(II) Schiff base to the azido-functionalized MeOPEG(5000); whereas the direct reaction between MeOPEG(5000) and Co(II) Schiff base did not produce any immobilization. The prepared catalyst was tested for the oxidative dehydrogenation of various secondary amines using TBHP as oxida...
The title compound, C(14)H(10)ClN(3)O(4)·CH(4)O, was synthesized from the reaction of 5-chloro-salicylaldehyde with 4-nitro-benzohydrazide in methanol. The Schiff base mol-ecule is nearly planar, with a dihedral angle of 9.1 (3)° between the two benzene rings. The methanol solvent mol-ecules are linked to the Schiff base mol-ecules by N-H⋯O, O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains runnin...
A family of novel chiral "calixsalen" Schiff base macrocycles R,R-H(3)L4, R,R-H(3)L5, containing three chiral diamino moieties were synthesized by an efficient self-assembly and characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR, mass spectrometry, and X-ray diffraction. The systematic synthesis, structure, and coordination properties of the [2 + 2] and [3 + 3] Robson-type Schiff base macrocyclic mono-, di-, ...
The title Schiff base complex, [V(C(13)H(7)BrClNO(2))(CH(3)O)O(CH(3)OH)], features a vanadyl group, a tridentate Schiff base ligand, and coordinated methanol and methano-late ligands. The NO(5) donor set is based on a distorted octa-hedron. Helical supra-molecular chains along [010] are found in the crystal structure mediated by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds formed between the coordinating methanol mol-...
In the title complex, [CuEu(C(19)H(20)N(2)O(4))(NO(3))(3)], the Cu(II) ion is four-coordinated in a square-planar geometry by two O atoms and two N atoms of the deprotonated Schiff base. The Eu(III) atom is ten-coordinate, chelated by three nitrate groups and linked to the four O atoms of the deprotonated Schiff base.
The crystal structure of the title compound has been determined. The coordination geometry about the iron(II) center is a tetrahedrally distorted square plane formed by the four-coordinate N2O2 donor set of the Schiff-base imine-phenol ligand. Molecules of the title compound are not planar. The two Schiff-base moieties, which themselves are reasonably planar, are inclined at an angle of 31.5(1)...
