Recently, a non-abelian factorization problem together with an associated asymmetric encryption scheme were introduced in [1]. We show how a classical baby-step giant-step algorithm for discrete logarithm can be extended to this problem. This contradicts the claims regarding the complexity of the proposed problem.

This paper studies giant magnons in CP , which in all known cases are old solutions from S placed into twoand three-dimensional subspaces of CP , namely CP , RP 2 and RP . We clarify some points about these subspaces, and other potentially interesting threeand four-dimensional subspaces. After confirming that ∆ − (J1 − J4)/2 is a Hamiltonian for small fluctuations of the relevant ‘vacuum’ point...

We study general rotating string solution in the AdS4×CP background with a BNS holonomy turned on over CP 1 ⊂ CP. We find the giant magnon and single spike solutions for the string moving in this background corresponding to open spin chain. We calculate the corresponding dispersion relation among various conserved charges for both the cases. We further study the finite size effect on both the g...

A phenomenological schematic model of multipole giant resonances (GR) is considered which treats the external interaction via common decay channels on the same footing as the coherent part of the internal residual interaction. The damping due to the coupling to the sea of complicated states is neglected. As a result, the formation of GR is governed by the interplay and competition of two kinds ...

We report a case of a giant adrenal pseudocyst, found incidentally in a 45 year old female. Her CT scan showed a 7.5cm x 7.3cm suprarenal mass and she underwent a laparoscopic transperitoneal adrenalectomy. We report this case and review the literature regarding the diagnosis and management of adrenal pseudocysts.

Linear collider (LC) interaction region beam sizes and component position stability requirements are expected to be a few nanometers[1]. It is important to show that the related tolerances can be achieved, with an electron beam if possible. Using recently developed component stabilization technology, very high-resolution beam position monitors (BPM’s), and the ultra-low emittance beam at the KE...

The feedback system has been developed in KU-FEL linac to stabilize the FEL power fluctuation. The system consists of six 4-button type BPMs and the signal processing system. As the first step, the beam displacement information at the RF-gun section was used for the feedback control to stabilize the electron energy and the vertical beam position at the RF-gun section. As the result the FEL powe...

Initial results on particle yields obtained by the HARP experiment are presented. The measurements correspond to proton–nucleus collisions at beam energies of 12.9 GeV /c and for a thin Al target of 5% interacion legth. The angular range considered is between 10 and 250 mrad. This results are the first step in the upcoming measurement of the forward production cross-section for the same target ...

In this paper static and dynamic responses of a fixed-fixed microbeam to electrostatic force and mechanical shock for different cases have been studied. The governing equations whose solution holds the answer to all our questions about the mechanical behavior is the nonlinear elasto-electrostatic equations. Due to the nonlinearity and complexity of the derived equations analytical solution are ...
