We present results from simulations of two dynamical flavors of improved Wilson fermions with nHYP smeared gauge links. We demonstrate that the simulation is stable at a pseudo-scalar mass of 360MeV, a 2.1fm box and a lattice spacing of 0.13fm.

We report on recent progress in the calculation of BK using HYP-smeared staggered fermions on the MILC asqtad lattices. Our main focus is on the continuum extrapolation, which is done using (up to) four different lattice spacings—a ≈ 0.12, 0.09, 0.06 and 0.045 fm. We present exploratory results for the hadron mass spectrum and pseudoscalar meson decay constants using mixed actions. We use improved staggered sea quarks and HYP-smeared overlap valence quarks. We obtain good signals on 10 configurations at one lattice spacing and two different sets of sea quark masses.
