We establish a bound for the classic PUSH-PULL rumor spreading protocol on arbitrary graphs, in terms of the vertex expansion of the graph. We show that O(log(n)/α) rounds suffice with high probability to spread a rumor from a single node to all n nodes, in any graph with vertex expansion at least α. This bound matches the known lower bound, and settles the question on the relationship between ...

Wireless Sensor Networks is the new concept in the field of networks consists of small, large number of sensing nodes which is having the sensing, computational and transmission power. Due to the lack of tamper-resistant packaging and the insecure nature of wireless communication channels, these networks are vulnerable to internal and external attacks. Moreover, routing protocols are designed, ...

The concern over antibiotic-resistant bacteria producing human infections that are difficult to treat has led to a proliferation of studies in recent years investigating resistance in livestock, food products, the environment and people, as well as in the mechanisms of transfer of the genetic elements of resistance between bacteria, and the routes, or risk pathways, by which the spread of resis...

abstract malaria is still the number one killer especially among young children and is responsible for one death per minute in the world. overall, between 250-500 million cases of the disease occur worldwide causing more than one million deaths annually about 90% of which in children under five years of age. although the spread of the disease is worldwide but it is seen mostly in tropical and su...

the steel shear wall and composite steel plate shear wall is introduced in recent three decade and is considered and is spread rapidly. composite steel plate shear wall which is made of a layer of thin steel sheet with coating of reinforced concrete in one or both sides of steel palate is considered a third generation of resistance shear walls against lateral loads that in addition to increasin...

We introduce the generalized rumor spreading model and investigate some properties of this model on different complex social networks. Despite pervious rumor models that both the spreader-spreader (SS) and the spreader-stifler (SR) interactions have the same rate α, we define α and α for SS and SR interactions, respectively. The effect of variation of α and α on the final density of stiflers is...

A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a collection of thousands of tiny sensor nodes having the capability of wireless communication, limited computation and sensing. These networks are vulnerable to internal and external attacks due to the lack of tamper-resistant packaging and the insecure nature of wireless communication channels. Since most of the existing routing protocols are application spe...
