We present SCALLOP: SCALable isogeny action based on Oriented supersingular curves with Prime conductor, a new group isogenies of curves. Similarly to CSIDH and OSIDH, we use the an imaginary quadratic order’s class set oriented Compared CSIDH, main benefit our construction is that it easy compute class-group structure; this data required uniquely represent — efficiently act by arbitrary elemen...
During animal development, accurate control of tissue specification and growth are critical to generate organisms of reproducible shape and size. The eye-antennal disc epithelium of Drosophila is a powerful model system to identify the signaling pathway and transcription factors that mediate and coordinate these processes. We show here that the Yorkie (Yki) pathway plays a major role in tissue ...
We present Scallop, a language which combines the benefits of deep learning and logical reasoning. Scallop enables users to write wide range neurosymbolic applications train them in data- compute-efficient manner. It achieves these goals through three key features: 1) flexible symbolic representation that is based on relational data model; 2) declarative logic programming Datalog supports recur...
UNLABELLED In many sensory pathways, central neurons serve as temporal filters for timing patterns in communication signals. However, how a population of neurons with diverse temporal filtering properties codes for natural variation in communication signals is unknown. Here we addressed this question in the weakly electric fish Brienomyrus brachyistius, which varies the time intervals between s...
The periodicity of striae formation in the tropical scallop Comptopallium radula (Indo-West Pacific Ocean) was investigated with an in situ marking technique, using the calcein fluorochrome. To minimize scallop stress caused by excessive handling, in situ benthic chambers were used for marking experiments. Once marked, scallops (shell height range: 38.4-75.8 mm) remained on site in a large bent...
In a viscous fluid, reciprocal motion does not lead to net propulsion by virtue of the Scallop theorem. granular medium, we observe that same generates large drift moving object. This study investigates specific mechanisms underlying this propulsion.
We propose a method of extracting scallop areas from gravel seabed images to assess fish resources, and developed an automatic system that measures their quantities, sizes, and states. Scallops feature different colors, fluted patterns and forms. The present study is described our method of extracting these features, and presented the results and its effectiveness.
