In this letter we present an explicit protocol B2 for faithfully teleporting an arbitrary 2-qubit state with a class of 4-qubit entangled states. We construct these states in a way different from that of Yeo and Chua [Phys. Rev. Lett. 94, 060502 (2006)]. We will show that the genuine states presented by Yeo and Chua are only a subset of our entangled states. The generalizations of the protocol ...

The Cooper pair box qubit of a two-junction-SQUID configuration enables the readout of the qubit states by probing the effective Josephson inductance of the SQUID. This is realized by coupling the qubit to a high-Q tank circuit which induces a small alternating supercurrent in the SQUID loop. The effect of a small (but finite) geometrical inductance of the loop on the eigenstates of the system ...

The three-input TOFFOLI gate is the workhorse of circuit synthesis for classical logic operations on quantum data, e.g., reversible arithmetic circuits. In physical implementations, however, TOFFOLI gates are decomposed into six CNOT gates and several one-qubit gates. Though this decomposition has been known for at least 10 years, we provide here the first demonstration of its CNOT-optimality. ...

We propose a quantum dot qubit architecture that has an attractive combination of speed and fabrication simplicity. It consists of a double quantum dot with one electron in one dot and two electrons in the other. The qubit itself is a set of two states with total spin quantum numbers S(2)=3/4 (S=1/2) and S(z)=-1/2, with the two different states being singlet and triplet in the doubly occupied d...

We study numerically the coupling between a qubit and a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) moving in a kicked optical lattice, using Gross-Pitaevskii equation. In the regime where the BEC size is smaller than the lattice period, the chaotic dynamics of the BEC is effectively controlled by the qubit state. The feedback effects of the nonlinear chaotic BEC dynamics preserve the coherence and purity o...

An NMR realization of a two-qubit quantum gate which processes quantum information indirectly via couplings to a spectator qubit is presented in the context of the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm. This enables a successful comprehensive NMR implementation of the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm for functions with three argument bits and demonstrates a technique essential for multi-qubit quantum computation.

The role of nuclear spins in decoherence and dephasing of a solid state phase qubit is investigated. Both effects of static spin environment and spin polarization fluctuations in time are considered on the basis of non-Markovian Langevin-Bloch equations. We find conditions when coupling of a phase qubit to a bath of nuclear spins does not impair coherent evolution of the qubit.

We have analyzed the operation of the Bayesian quantum feedback of a solid-state qubit, designed to maintain perfect coherent oscillations in the qubit for arbitrarily long time. In particular, we have studied the feedback efficiency in presence of dephasing environment and detector nonideality. Also, we have investigated the effect of qubit parameter deviation.

In this paper we are going to calculate the correlation function and Bell'sinequality for three qubit W state under the Lorentz transformations. This survey is basedon the introduction of two different expressions of spin observable were presented byLee-Young and Kim-Son.

– The problem of Rabi oscillations in a qubit coupled to a fluctuator and in contact with a heath bath is considered. A scheme is developed for taking into account both phase and energy relaxation in a phenomenological way, while taking full account of the quantum dynamics of the four-level system subject to a driving AC field. Significant suppression of the Rabi oscillations is found when the ...
