Abstract—In this paper, we use the concept of stub loadings of planar microstrip antennas to convert a single band antenna into a dual-band antenna used for WLAN. We load a planar triangular monopole (PTM) antenna by combline stubs attached to the edges of patch in order to obtain a second resonance frequency. The simple PTM antenna is first designed to produce the lower resonance frequency and...

The correlates and structure of prosocial behaviors in late adolescents were examined using a newly constructed, multidimensional measure. In Study 1, 249 college students (145 women; M age = 19.9 years) were administered the Prosocial Tendencies Measure (PTM) which assesses 6 types of prosocial behaviors: altruistic, compliant, emotional, dire, public, and anonymous. Measures of sympathy, pers...

Persistent Turing Machines (PTMs) are multitape machines with a persistent worktape preserved between interactions, whose inputs and outputs are dynamically generated streams of tokens (strings). They are a minimal extension of Turing Machines (TMs) that express interactive behavior. They provide a natural model for sequential interactive computation such as single-user databases and intelligen...

Protein function is often regulated by posttranslational modifications (PTMs), and recent advances in mass spectrometry have resulted in an exponential increase in PTM identification. However, the functional significance of the vast majority of these modifications remains unknown. To address this problem, we compiled nearly 200,000 phosphorylation, acetylation, and ubiquitination sites from 11 ...

Persistent Turing Machines PTMs are an abstract model for sequential interactive comput ing marrying coinductive semantics with e ective constructibility They are multitape machines with work tape contents preserved between interactions whose behavior is characterized obser vationally by input output streams Notions of PTM equivalence and expressiveness have been studied proving that in non alg...

Posttranslational modifications (PTMs) regulate molecular structures and functions of proteins by covalently binding to amino acids. Hundreds of thousands of PTMs have been reported for the human proteome, with multiple PTMs known to affect tens of thousands of lysine (K) residues. Our molecular evolutionary analyses show that K residues with multiple PTMs exhibit greater conservation than thos...

Conventional proteomics has discovered a wide gap between protein sequences and biological functions. The third generation of proteomics was provoked to bridge this gap. Targeted and untargeted post-translational modification (PTM) studies are the most important parts of today's proteomics. Considering the expensive and time-consuming nature of experimental methods, computational methods are de...

We report the usefulness of a 3.4-kb mitochondrial genome deletion (3.4 mtdelta) for molecular definition of benign, malignant, and proximal to malignant (PTM) prostate needle biopsy specimens. The 3.4 mtdelta was identified through long-extension polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis of frozen prostate cancer samples. A quantitative PCR assay was developed to measure the levels of the 3.4 m...

A fast low-power 1-bit full adder circuit suitable for nano-scale CMOS implementation is presented. Out of the three modules in a common full-adder circuit, we have replaced one with a new design, and optimized another one, all with the goal to reduce the static power consumption. The design has been simulated and evaluated using the 65 nm PTM models.

We employed a pyramidal training model (PTM) to teach staff to correctly implement and collect data for trial-based functional analysis (TBFA) in simulated situations. First, we trained four behavioral consultants (BCs) in a group format, who each trained one behavior technician (BT) in an individual format. We utilized a non-concurrent multiple baseline design to evaluate the effect of the tra...
