This paper revisits basic message response time analysis of controller area network (CAN). We show that existing message response time analysis, as presented in [10], is optimistic. Assuming discrete scheduling, the problem can be resolved by applying worst-case response time analysis for fixed-priority non-preemptive scheduling (FPNS) as described in [4].
This article provides an effective method to analyze the performance measures of non-preemptive fuzzy priority queues with unequal service rates. Here arrival rate and are in numbers. Using a new ranking method, values reduced crisp values. For that cause, both Triangular Fuzzy Number (TFN) Trapezoidal (TpFN) chosen establish proposal's effectiveness. An illustration is given find efficiency qu...
Real-time software runs over real-time operating systems, and guaranteeing qualities are difficult. In this paper, we propose timed weak simulation relation verification and apply it to a refinement design method of real-time software. Moreover, we apply our proposed method to general real-time software scheduled by fixed-priority preemptive policy.
We consider a multiclass preemptive-resume priority queue with Poisson arrivals and general service times. We derive explicit expressions for the discounted expected and long-run average weighted queue lengths and switching costs, the latter one only in the case of exponential service times. We illustrate our results with numerical calculations.
CPU scheduling is the basis of multi programmed operating system. The idea of multiprogramming is relatively simple, if a process (job) is waiting for an I/O request, then CPU switches from one job to another job so that CPU is always busy and computer becomes more productive. Scheduling is a fundamental operating system function, almost all computer resources are scheduled before use. The CPU ...
A ZigBee compliant wireless controller which manages multiple tasks, such as acquiring data from sensors and driving actuators, has been purposely developed for robotic capsular endoscopy applications. This article describes ARTK, a compact real-time kernel for the Arduino embedded systems development environment. It provides a priority-driven preemptive task scheduler, semaphores for task synchronisation, and serial channel output. It is compatible with Arduino boards containing more or less than 64 kbytes of memory. The memory footprint of ARTK is under 8 kbytes.
