Botryosphaeria dothidea is a destructive pathogen infecting apple (Malus domestica) on the fruit and stem. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of B. dothidea (strain LW030101) using Illumina sequencing. The draft genome sequence provides useful information and acts as a platform for further research on the pathogen.

Most rhabdomeres in the eye of the fly (Musca domestica) are fluorescent. One kind of fluorescent emission emanates from a photoproduct of the visual pigment, other kinds may be ascribed to photostable pigments. These phenomena provide not only a means of spectrally mapping the retina but also a new spectroscopic tool for analyzing the primary visual processes in vivo.

Two new species of the genus Neophyllobius Berlese, 1886 are described: Neophyllobius lorestanicus sp. nov. collected from soil under Prunus domestica L. (Rosaceae) in Markazi province and Neophyllobius ostovani sp. nov. from soil and rotten leaves of oak trees in Fars province, Iran. A key to all known Iranian and Turkish species of Neophyllobius is provided.

Spatial genetic variation was assessed in the common house fly Musca domestica. Allozymes at three gene enzyme system unraveled ten loci which revealed seventeen alleles in house fly populations. F statistics revealed that except ACPH-1 and EST-3 all the other loci show inbreeding (Fis>Fst). Persistent heterozygosity was observed in ACPH-1(Fis= -0.140) which indicate random mating for this locus.

Hyperlipidemia is a condition in which one or more lipid profiles the blood have increased. Plum fruit ( Prunus domestica ) was empirically used to treat hyperlipidemia by reducing production of cholesterol blood. This study has purpose predict bioavailability and interaction secondary metabolites P. against HMG-CoA reductase using silico method. uses SwissADME webserver with Boiled-Egg method ...

Chayote plants (Sechium edule) with monoecious characters require a pollination process. The process requires pollinating agents to increase its productivity, one of which is insects. This research aimed determine the diversity and abundance insects pollinator on chayote plants. Observation used scan sampling method. Pollinator observations were carried out in 3 time periods, morning, afternoon...

Researchers have documented that the housefly (Musca domestica) can serve as a vector for the spread of foodborne pathogens to livestock, food, and humans. Most studies have investigated Musca domestica as a vector only after the fly comes into contact or consumes the pathogen as an adult. The objective of this study was to determine whether the larvae of Musca domestica could ingest Escherichi...
