In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Oklahoma State University Library developed an open-source application record real-time building capacity. student security tracks entrances and exits via program, with current visitor numbers appearing on library’s website API. This effort helps administrators have a clear picture of capacity during opening hours for data-driven decision-making provides us...

The plasmaspheric mass density at L ' 2 was monitored by two IGPP/LANL ground magnetometer stations during the magnetic storm on September 25, 1998. Even at this low latitude the plasma density dropped significantly to ' 1/4 of the pre-storm value. The total electron content (TEC) inferred by GPS signals also shows a sizable decrease during the storm. The observations suggest that the convectio...

[1] We investigate the effect of plasma pressure on the magnetic field in the near-Earth magnetosphere (2 to 6.5 RE) during the major magnetic storm of October 21–25, 2001. For this we obtain a time series of ‘‘snapshots’’, in each of which the magnetic forces are equilibrated by plasma pressure gradient forces. Each snapshot is computed using our 3-D equilibrium code, which is fed anisotropic ...

Measurements of F-region electron density and temperature at Millstone Hill are compared with results from the IZMIRAN time-dependent mathematical model of the Earth’s ionosphere and plasmasphere during the periods 16–23 March and 6–12 April 1990. Each of these two periods included geomagnetically quiet intervals followed by major storms. Satisfactory agreement between the model and the data is...

[1] We present a methodology for using the modular Tsyganenko storm magnetic field model (TS04) as a tool to investigate the response of magnetospheric currents to solar wind dynamic pressure enhancements during magnetic storms. We demonstrate the technique by examining the contribution of each model current to the observed dawn-dusk asymmetric ground H perturbation during a peak storm main pha...

1. introduction dust storm is an important atmospheric phenomenon. it has important environment, health, economic and social activities due to penetration of suspended particles of dust to the atmosphere. measurements resulting from earth and satellite stations show the fact that particles of dust in storms, remain in the nature for a long time. they can get far away by wind, hundreds of kilome...
