This paper describes the synthesis and hardware implementation of a signal-type asynchronous data communication mechanism (ACM). Such an ACM can be used in systems where a data-driven (“lazy”) logic must be interfaced with a time-driven (“busy”) environment. A new classification system for ACMs is introduced. The conceptual definition of the signal ACM (called simply “Signal”) is refined using ...
Abstract. The very weak formulation of the porous medium/fast diffusion equation yields an evolution problem in a Gelfand triple with the pivot space H. This allows to employ methods of the theory of monotone operators in order to study fully discrete approximations combining a Galerkin method (including conforming finite element methods) with the backward Euler scheme. Convergence is shown eve...
We generalized the class of k, l-substitutable languages (Yoshinala, 2008). Each language in the generalized class is closed under a good substitutability. The substitutability is defined by a recognizable equivalence relation. We show the convergence of our generalized learning algorithm. The size of the characteristic sample is smaller than Yoshinaka’s.
The classical expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm for image reconstruction suffers from particularly slow convergence when additive background effects such as accidental coincidences and scatter are included. In addition, when smoothness penalties are included in the objective function, the M-step of the EM algorithm becomes intractable due to parameter coupling. Thie paper describes the sp...
A convergence analysis for time-splitting generalized-Laguerre– Fourier–Hermite pseudo-spectral methods applied to time-dependent Gross– Pitaevskii equations with rotation term is given. The space discretization combines the generalized-Laguerre–Fourier spectral method with respect to the (x, y)-variables and the Hermite spectral method with respect to the zdirection. For the time integration e...
In this paper we discuss two approaches to evolutionary Γ-convergence of gradient systems in Hilbert spaces. The formulation of the gradient system is based on two functionals, namely the energy functional and the dissipation potential, which allows us to employ Γ-convergence methods. In the first approach we consider families of uniformly convex energy functionals such that the limit passage o...
The aim of this paper is to set up appropriate uniform convergence spaces in which to reformulate and enrich the Order Completion Method [25] for nonlinear PDEs. In this regard, we consider an appropriate space ML (X) of normal lower semi-continuous functions. The space ML (X) appears in the ring theory of C (X) and its various extensions [15], as well as in the theory of nonlinear, PDEs [25] a...
In this paper, we introduce and characterize the concept of fuzzy almost generalized $e$-continuous mappings. Several interesting properties of these mappings are also given. Examples and counter examples are also given to illustrate the concepts introduced in the paper. We also introduce the concept of fuzzy $f T_{frac{1}{2}}e$-space, fuzzy $ge$-space, fuzzy regular $ge$-space and fuzzy gener...
The preconditioned iteratively regularized Gauss-Newton algorithm for the minimization of general nonlinear functionals was introduced by Smirnova, Renaut and Khan (2007). In this paper, we establish theoretical convergence results for an extended stabilized family of Generalized Preconditioned Iterative methods which includes M−times iterated Tikhonov regularization with line search. Numerical...
in this paper we will prove that if $l$ is a continuous symmetric n-linear form on a hilbert spaceand $widehat{l}$ is the associated continuous n-homogeneous polynomial, then $||l||=||widehat{l}||$.for the proof we are using a classical generalized inequality due to s. bernstein for entire functions of exponential type. furthermore we study the case that if x is a banach space then we have tha...
