In multi-objective optimization, one considers optimization problems with more than one objective function, and in general these objectives conflict each other. As the solution set of a multiobjective problem is often rather large and contains points of no interest to the decision-maker, strategies are sought that reduce the size of the solution set. One such strategy is to combine several obje...

We propose a procedure for computing Nash equilibria in multi-player timed games with reachability objectives. Our procedure is based on the construction of a finite concurrent game, and on a generic characterization of Nash equilibria in (possibly infinite) concurrent games. Along the way, we use our characterization to compute Nash equilibria in finite concurrent games.

We consider a multi-objective linear programming model with type-2 fuzzy objectives. The considered model has the flexibility for the user to specify the more general membership functions for objectives to reflect the inherent fuzziness, while being simple and practical. We develop two solution strategies with reasonable computing costs. The additional cost, as compared to the type-1 fuzzy mode...

due to extraordinary large amount of information and daily sharp increasing claimant for ui benefits and because of serious constraint of financial barriers, the importance of handling fraud detection in order to discover, control and predict fraudulent claims is inevitable. we use the most appropriate data mining methodology, methods, techniques and tools to extract knowledge or insights from ...

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a methodology for measuring the relative efficiency of decision making units (DMUs) which ‎consume the same types of inputs and producing the same types of outputs. Believing that future planning and predicting the ‎efficiency are very important for DMUs, this paper first presents a new dynamic random fuzzy DEA model (DRF-DEA) with ‎common weights (using...

It has been empirically established that multiobjective evolutionary algorithms do not scale well with the number of conflicting objectives. This paper shows that the convergence rate of all comparison-based multi-objective algorithms, for the Hausdorff distance, is not much better than the convergence rate of the random search under certain conditions. The number of objectives must be very mod...

Formulation of an automatic calibration strategy for the MIKE 11/NAM rainfall–runoff model is outlined. The calibration scheme includes optimisation of multiple objectives that measure different aspects of the hydrograph: (1) overall water balance, (2) overall shape of the hydrograph, (3) peak flows, and (4) low flows. An automatic optimisation procedure based on the shuffled complex evolution ...

This paper presents a linear fractional programming approach for solving multi objective linear programming problem. We develop a model to solve multi objective linear programming problem into fractional programming problem and proposed a method for linearization of a fractional objective. In particular, we consider the optimization of ratio of profit and cash expenditure as fractional objectiv...

Multi-objective inventory models of deteriorating items have been developed with vague and imprecise information about available storage area. Here, the objectives are (i) to maximize the profit, (ii) to minimize the wastage cost due to deterioration and (iii) to minimize the total production cost. These objectives are also fuzzy in nature. In these models, production rate is a decision variabl...

This paper presents the capacitated Windy Rural Postman Problem with several vehicles. For this problem, two objectives are considered. One of them is the minimization of the total cost of all vehicle routes expressed by the sum of the total traversing cost and another one is reduction of the maximum cost of vehicle route in order to find a set of equitable tours for the vehicles. Mathematical ...
