Reference Tomm a s Svoboda and Peter Sturm. A badly calibrated camera in ego-motion estimation, propagation of uncertainty. Abstract. This paper deals with the ego-motion estimation (motion of the camera) from two views. To estimate an ego-motion we have to nd correspondences and we need a calibrated camera. In this paper we solve the problem how to propagate known camera calibration errors int...
In this paper an estimation of tree dimensional (3D) global motion of human head in model based coding of videotelephone signals is presented. 6 parameters of global motion are estimated by using optical flow, 3 rotation angels and 3 translations. An least-squares (LS) method was used for solving the motion parameters of the human head between two successive frames in videosequence.
Introduction: Image registration of fMRI data only corrects for bulk movements while leaving secondary artifacts such as, spin history effects, motion induced dynamic field inhomogeneity changes, and interpolation errors untouched. Secondary artifacts increase variability in time-series and reduce sensitivity of activation detection. Methods such as the use estimated motion parameters as “Nuisa...
In India, the frequency of occurrence of earthquakes is more, especially in Himalaya, northeast India and Gujarat region. Therefore it becomes essential to estimate the seismic inputs for such earthquakes to reduce the structural damage. From engineering point of view, the most sought-after data is the strong motion accelerograms (SMA), recorded in the places where earthquake has occurred. The ...
A method based on computer vision technologies is presented to achieve the function that the simulated motion in sport simulation system and the motion in sport video are presented on the same screen and at the same view point. The proposed method first applies the camera self-calibration theory to obtaining camera intrinsic parameters in sport video according to the 2D video features correspon...
Simultaneous 3D human shape estimation and motion tracking is a very challenging problem. Given the complicated nature of human shape and motion, it can be very difficult to perform robust tracking of body parts without using a motion or shape model. Modelling the human body as rigid parts linked in a kinematic structure is a simple yet reasonably accurate model for tracking purposes. Optical f...
We propose a method for extracting human limb regions by combination of optical flow based motion segmentation and nonlinear optimization based image registration. First, rotating limb regions with rough boundaries are extracted and motion parameters are estimated for an approximated model. Then the extracted region and estimated parameters are used as initial values for nonlinear optimization ...
This paper presents a model-based algorithm for estimating motion from monocular image sequences. We first present a new two-view motion algorithm and then extend it to multiple views. The two-view algorithm requires generally 6 pairs of point correspondences to give unique solution of the motion parameters. However, when the uredpoints lie on a Maybank Quadric, the algorithm requires 7 pairs o...
This paper deals with estimating motion parameters and the structure of the scene from point (or feature) correspondences hetneen two perspective views. First, a new algorithm is presented that gives a closed-form solution for motion parameters and the structure of the scene. The algorithm exploits redundancy in the data to obtain more reliable estimates in the presence of noise. Then, an appro...
