Inertial sensors have gained relevance as wearable to acquire the kinematics of human limbs through fusion sensor algorithms and biomechanical models. However, there are some limitations use Measurement Units in control robotic devices: 1) Some approaches magnetometer readings estimate orientation sensor, and, a result, they prone errors due electromagnetic interferences; 2) Biomechanical model...

When properly constructed, biased estimators are known to produce lower mean-square errors than unbiased estimators. A biased estimator for the problem of ultrasound time-delay estimation was recently proposed. The proposed estimator incorporates knowledge of adjacent displacement estimates into the final estimate of a displacement. This is accomplished by using adjacent estimates to create a p...
The paper presents two results. The first one provides separate conditions for the upper and lower estimate of the distribution of the exit time from balls of a random walk on a weighted graph. The main result of the paper is that the lower estimate follows from the elliptic Harnack inequality. The second result is an off-diagonal lower bound for the transition probability of the random walk.
