comin the case of pharmaceutical processes, the presence of preservatives can be problematic and the quantity is subject to stringent standards. so, the aim of this study is to quantify the removal of glycerin contained in ultrafiltration flat sheet membranes by filtration and soaking. this is carried out over a wide range of membranes with different characteristics. the selected flat sheet mem...

conclusions according to the results, it can be concluded that the titanium catalyst doped with iron (fe+3-tio2) processes is an appropriate method for reducing atrazine in polluted water resources. results the results demonstrated that the atrazine removal rate increased by decreasing the initial atrazine concentration and the maximum rate of atrazine removal (41.72%) was at ph = 11, atrazine ...

Honeycomb (2D) and diamond (3D) networks constitute alternatives to mesh and torus architectures for paraUel processing. When wraparound links are zncluded in honeycomb and diamond networks, the resulting structures can be viewed as having been derived via a systematic pruning scheme applied to 2D and 3D tori. respectively. Link removal. which is performed along a diagonal pruning direction, pr...

Erythrocyte structure and function depend upon interactions between proteins in and associated with the membrane, centered around band 3. This protein harbours physiological removal signals and, as a main component of the links between the cytoskeleton and the lipid bilayer, plays a central role in deformability. Also, as a binding partner of hemoglobin and key glycolysis enzymes, band 3 is the...

An efficient link-removal strategy, called the variance-of-neighbordegree-reduction (VNDR) strategy, for enhancing the traffic capacity of scalefree networks is proposed in this paper. The VNDR strategy, which considers the important role of hub nodes, balances the amounts of packets routed from each node to the node’s neighbors. Compared against the outcomes of strategies that remove links amo...

We show that there exists a deep link between the two disciplines of information theory and spectral geometry. This allows us to obtain new results on a well known quantum gravity motivated natural ultraviolet cutoff which describes an upper bound on the spatial density of information. Concretely, we show that, together with an infrared cutoff, this natural ultraviolet cutoff beautifully reduce...

We discuss an optimisation criterion for the exact renormalisation group based on the inverse effective propagator, which displays a gap. We show that a simple extremisation of the gap stabilises the flow, leading to better convergence of approximate solutions towards the physical theory. This improves the reliability of truncations, most relevant for any high precision computation. These ideas...

We report the case of a 53-year-old Caucasian woman who developed nodal melanoma metastasis under infliximab therapy 2 years after the removal of a nevoid melanoma, which was initially misdiagnosed as a benign compound nevus. This case illustrates the potential link between tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α inhibition and the reactivation of latent melanoma. Furthermore, this case highlights the ne...
