In the title compound, C(17)H(19)N(3)O·CH(3)OH, the hydrazone mol-ecule exists in a trans geometry with respect to the methyl-idene unit and the dihedral angle between the two substituted benzene rings is 42.6 (2)°. The aim of the present study is to synthesize the oxovanadium complex of the V3+ ion with isatin sciff bases.
