Jwo et al. [Networks 23 (1993) 315–326] introduced the alternating group graph as an interconnection network topology for computing systems. They showed that the proposed structure has many advantages over n-cubes and star graphs. For example, all alternating group graphs are hamiltonian-connected (i.e., every pair of vertices in the graph are connected by a hamiltonian path) and pancyclic (i.e...
We consider analytic Hamiltonian systems with two degrees of freedom, and prove that every Hamiltonian on the strong local stable manifold of the renormalization group fixed point obtained in [26] has a non-differentiable golden invariant torus (conjugacy to a linear

A renormalization-group and bosonization approach for a multi-band Hubbard Hamiltonian in one dimension is described. Based on the limit of many bands, it is argued that this Hamiltonian with bare repulsive electron-electron interactions is scaled under specific conditions to a model in which superconducting fluctuations dominate. Suppose G is a nilpotent, finite group. We show that if {a, b} is any 2-element generating set of G, then the corresponding Cayley digraph −−→ Cay(G; a, b) has a hamiltonian path. This implies that all of the connected Cayley graphs of valence ≤ 4 on G have hamiltonian paths.
We construct the effective Hamiltonian which governs the renormalization group flow of the gluon distribution with increasing energy and in the leading logarithmic approximation. This Hamiltonian defines a two–dimensional field theory which involves two types of Wilson lines: longitudinal Wilson lines which describe gluon recombination (or merging) and temporal Wilson lines which account for gl...
We propose a minimum principle to derive a QM/MM (quantum-mechanical/molecular-mechanical) method from the first principle. We approximate the Hamiltonian of a spectator substituent as the structure-dependent effective Hamiltonian in a least-squares sense. This effective Hamiltonian is expanded with the orthogonal operator set called the normal-ordered product. We determine the structure-depend...
In this paper we present a complete perturbation analysis for the Hamiltonian Schurform of a Hamiltonian matrix under similarity transformations with unitary symplectic matrices. Both linear asymptotic and non-linear perturbation bounds are presented. The same analysis isalso carried out for two less condensed block-Schur forms. It suggests that the block forms areless sensitive ...
We prove that connected vertex-transitive digraphs of order p5 (where p is a prime) are Hamiltonian, and a connected digraph whose automorphism group contains a finite vertex-transitive subgroup G of prime power order such that G′ is generated by two elements or elementary abelian is Hamiltonian.
Each H Sobolev inner product (k ≥ 0) defines a Hamiltonian vector field Xk on the regular dual of the Lie algebra of the diffeomorphism group of the circle. We show that only X0 and X1 are bi-Hamiltonian relatively to a modified Lie-Poisson structure.
