We report on a calculation of the next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the partonic cross sections contributing to single-inclusive high-pT hadron production in collisions of transversely polarized hadrons. We give some predictions for the double spin asymmetry ATT for the proposed experiments at RHIC and at the GSI.
We consider the sinφ single target-spin asymmetry in deep-inelastic π + inclusive electroproduction off a longitudinally polarized target. We show that at larger transverse momentum of the outgoing hadron the evaluated asymmetry decreases if one takes into account the first order αS perturbative contribution to the cross section, integrated over the azimuthal angle. I discuss the possible symmetries of effective theories for spinless and spin one bosons, to concentrate on a model with vector and ax-ial vector strong interacting bosons possessing a discrete symmetry demanding degeneracy (degenerate BESS model, BESS standing for Breaking Electroweak Symmetry Strongly). The phenomenology at future hadron colliders is also presented.
We show how quark-hadron duality can emerge for valence spin averaged structure functions, and for the non-forward distributions of Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering. Novel factorisations of the non-forward amplitudes are proposed. Some implications for large angle scattering and deviations from the quark counting rules are illustrated. The density dependent relativistic hadron field theory is used to describe single particle properties of Λ hypernuclei. The discussion focuses on the spin-orbit systematics in the relativistic mean-field formalism by discussing general effects of the Λ continuum threshold and the delocalization of the Λ wave function. Theoretical predictions for the hypernuclear Auger effect are presented.
