The mathematical modeling of a gas network is a powerful tool in order to identify the behavior of system under the different conditions. The modeling can be performed both for the steady state and unsteady state conditions. It is possible to use the fluid flow basic governing equations or the electrical analogy concept for developing the model. The second approach provides a simpler and more r...

We present the first report on bioinspired silica - produced using a green method - supported carbonic anhydrase for carbon capture and demonstrate significantly improved carbon capture efficiency and stability relevant to flue gas temperatures.

Harvesting energy from nature (solar, wind etc.) is envisioned as a key enabler for realizing green wireless networks. However, green energy sources are geographically distributed and the power amount is random which may not enough to power a base station by a single energy site. Burning brown energy sources such as coal and crude oil, though companied with carbon dioxide emission, provides sta...

in the recent years, increasing of green house gases, degradation of environment, deforestation alongside with the limitation and decreasing of ecological foot print of the earth for supplementation of human needs are the main problems of the world. the carbon dioxide gas as a main factor of world climate change, carry out the 60 percent of the global heating or greenhouse effect. the main sour...

During the past few years, modeling in agriculture has attracted considerable attention. New modeling methods including neural networks are employed in various industries, and it is necessary that their use in agriculture be also considered. This research addressed the trend of energy use in broiler farms in Alborz Province and sought to model the trend of energy consumption and production in t...

Consumers and organisations are increasingly considering longer term sustainability issues when they purchase or supply goods or services: “green buying” appears to be gaining momentum. However, progress is slow and the percentage of green purchases has remained static at 2% for the last two years. This paper suggests that a network approach to the drivers of green purchasing and supply may pro...

Research on climate change suggests that small improvements in the “sustainability” of buildings can have large effects on greenhouse gas emissions and on energy efficiency in the economy. This paper analyzes the economics of “green” building. First, we analyze a panel of office buildings certified by independent rating agencies, finding that large recent increases in the supply of green buildi...

In this paper we introduce a new active queue management (AQM) algorithm called GREEN. GREEN provides high link utilization whilst maintaining low delay and packet loss. GREEN enables low latency interactive applications such as telephony and network games. GREEN is shown to outperform the current AQM algorithms. Certain performance problems with current AQMs are discussed.
