Photon-induced reactions play a key role in the nucleosynthesis of heavy neutrondeficient nuclei, the so-called p-nuclei. In this paper we review the present status of experiments on photon-induced reactions at energies of astrophysical importance and their relevance to p-process modeling.
A two-scale turbulence model is derived by averaging the two-point spectral evolution equation. In this model, the inertial range energy transfer and the dissipation rate can be unequal. The model is shown to reduce to a standard two-equation model in decaying turbulence.
