A fault-based multifrequency test generation and fault diagnosis procedure is proposed in this work. The procedure selects a minimal set of test measures and generates the minimal set of frequency tests which guarantee maximum fault coverage and maximal diagnosis of circuit AC hard/soft faults. The procedure is exempli ed for several self-testable linear analog circuits.

As the complexity of circuit designs grows, designers look toward formal veri cation to achieve better test coverage for validating complex designs. However, this approach is inherently computationally intensive, and hence, only small designs can be veri ed using this method. To achieve better performance, model abstraction is necessary. Model abstraction reduces the number of states necessary ...

this article discusses what ethicists have called “unacceptable trade-offs” in health policy choices related to universal health coverage (uhc). since the fiscal space is constrained, trade-offs need to be made. but some trade-offs are unacceptable on the path to universal coverage. unacceptable choices include, among other examples from low-income countries, to expand coverage for services wit...

Code coverage is one of the most important aspects of software testing, which helps software engineers to understand which portion of code has been executed using a given test suite throughout the software testing process. Automatic testing tools are widely utilized to provide testing coverage metrics in order to gauge the quality of software, but these tools may have some shortcomings such as ...

reducing test suite size without compromising the suite’s effectiveness in performing regression testing. This article presents a hybrid technique using the variable-based method that combines both selection and prioritization. It considers source code changes and coverage information with respect to each test case. Variables are the vital source of changes in the program, and this method captu...

“Software test-coverage measures” quantify the degree of thoroughness of testing. Tools are now available that measure test-coverage in terms of blocks, branches, computation-uses, predicate-uses, etc. that are covered. This paper models the relations among testing time, coverage, and reliability. An LE (logarithmic-exponential) model is presented that relates testing effort to test coverage (b...

Background As universal health coverage becomes the norm in many countries, it is important to determine public priorities regarding benefits to include in health insurance coverage. We report results of participation in a decision exercise among residents of Switzerland, a high-income country with a long history of universal health insurance and deliberative democracy.   Methods We adapted the...

Engineering software systems is a multidisciplinary activity, whereby a number of artifacts must be created — and maintained — synchronously. In this paper we investigate whether production code and the accompanying tests co-evolve by exploring a project’s versioning system, code coverage reports and size-metrics. Three open source case studies teach us that testing activities usually start lat...

We present a novel methodology for test case generation based on UML sequence diagrams. We create message dependence graphs (MDG) from UML sequence diagrams. Edge marking dynamic slicing method is applied on MDG to create slices. Based on the slice created with respect to each predicate on the sequence diagram, we generate test data. We formulate a test adequacy criterion named slice coverage c...

Testing is one of the very important component of software development process. Properly generated test sequences may not only locate the defects in software, but also help in reducing the high cost associated with software testing. It is often desired that test sequences should be automatically generated to achieve required test coverage. Automatic test sequence generation is a major problem i...
